Please read before offering to sell or swap tickets I know there's a "no scalping" message at the top of this forum, but with tickets now on sale for the London concerts, I thought it would be a good idea to post the .org's ticket resale policies in full:
Can I advertise concert tickets for sale? Yes, but the price must be the SAME or LESS than FACE VALUE (plus any ticket fees charged by the original ticket distributor--not an agent.) So for example, if you buy a concert ticket for $125 with a $4.50 service fee, you can ask up to $129.50 for it. You may ask for shipping on top of this amount if applicable, but you must only pass along the shipping cost, without any markup. If you purchased from an "agent" etc. that charged you more than the face price+original ticket distributor fee, you may NOT as for this amount. For example, the same ticket above that actually "cost" $129.50, if you paid $400 for it from a ticket "agent", you may still only ask for $129.50 for the ticket on prince.org. Swapping tickets of equal value is fine, subject to the above prohibition on marking up the actual shipping cost. Also, please don't post links to ticket resale agency websites, even if your intent is merely to discuss or express disapproval. It's fine to post, "I saw one website that's selling tickets for £500 each," but please don't actually link to the site or identify it by name. Thanks for your cooperation, and enjoy the shows! Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |
