Quick 7/7/7 Macy's Gig Summary First of all: SHEILA E.!!! 
Second of all: The setlist: 3121 Girls & Boys A Love Bizarre The Glamorous Life Take Me With U Crazy (Shelby showcase moment) Let's Go Crazy Guitar I know I have the order of songs screwed up there in the middle, but those are the songs. Sheila played through most all of the gig with Prince and was fantastic. Prince's guitar playing was astounding as always, and he seemed to be in great spirits. The presentation room at Macys was DECKED OUT for the show. We went through a long purple hallway that reminded me of The Haunted Mansion at Disneyworld - dimly lit, all painted purple, with big mirrors mounted on the walls with 3121 decals in the middle...I was afraid that if I looked in one of the mirrors, a holographic ghost Prince would pop up behind me and wave! 
The room was great, too - the walls were covered in purple curtains, and there really wasn't a rotten vantage point in the room. Free energy/health sodas were handed out all over the place and everyone had a FANTASTIC time after most of us spent all day (and for many folks, ALL NIGHT) waiting for First Ave tix! Gotta go get ready for the Target Center gig...more later, certainly!  | |

Yeah she hit me with the onesshe digs or knew i would.... Im with you... I had the tickets but couldnt justify anymore money that direction as so much went out over new years... I am still cool with that and very happy they are getting a full dose! Can you believe he is still on the mainstage at target after midnight... they have a long wait traditionally before he hits the Ave.... | |

Macy's show was truly awesome and Prince actually staged dived like five feet from where I was standing. I'm still floating!!! It was great to meet J7 in the flesh. | |

I just got home from the airport, haven't slept in 30 hours...I'll post something later also. What a weekend!  WOW!! And BIG thanks to babynoz for getting me on the VIP list! First Avenue gave out a CD on Friday nite called A Purple Mix By Lenka Paris and a presale tic for the afterparty. This mix is way too funky and a perfect follow up to the concerts. What a way to wind down! No 'off switch' in sight

More importantly, GOTTA SLEEP!!! 
What. A. Day. It helped a lot that I spent the whole time with some of the best people with whom anyone could ever hope to endure a hot hot HOT day of long lines and Princely insanity. It also helped a lot to take walks around the line when we were waiting for First Avenue tix, where I got to chat with familiar faces and meet a few new folks too. Despite the heat and the ticket craziness, the city was full of love that day.  | |
