Anyone have experience of using Viagogo for concert tickets?

Good or bad? Considering getting some more O2 tickets from that - anyone used them before?

I wouldn't trust Viagogo, you should instead buy tickets from www.seetickets.com if you can't buy from ticketmaster. see tickets are a proper legal ticket agency created and owned by the 'Really Usefull Theatre Group', which is a company that owns many of the west end theatres in London, (a subsidiary company of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber).

I had a chat about this with ticketmaster yesterday and the agent told me that she cannot say it officialy but in her opinion seetickets are a reliable source.

I then rang seetickets and they said they get their tickets directly from promoters.

don't get me wrong, in the past i spoke to them too, I think viagogo have a very good reputation, they have had positive reviews in the media and they are affiliated with football clubs but they are not like ticketmaster or seetickets.

I hope this helps.

The three official ticket agents are Ticketmaster, See Tickets & Ticketline. I would rather pay £31.21 and be guarenteed a ticket on the back row than spend a fortune with an company not associated with the arena and promotor - and not be certain that I would get my ticket. Similar sites have been shut down because of them being run by people who take your money but don't send you the tickets. None of the floor seats (apart from those not in the first ten rows, and a few front rows in the auctions) have been allocated. So when people are offering tickets in the first ten rows for inflated prices - you can't take them too seriously. I would never buy from them - just my opinion though

Yeah, and they are the only ones with a detailed floor seating plan. So, I doubt they're sharks. I think anyone buying tickets from them will be ok. cool

You mean they won't take £620 off you for a single ticket like Ticketmaster?!

If you personally want to BID that for a GUARANTEED front row seat from an OFFICIAL agent - that’s up to you. If you’re gullible enough to buy from somewhere that promises they have something sort after when they are in no way connected with the promoter or venue - then that’s also up to you. I have worked for a music venue for two years and problems with people buying tickets from these sort of outlets and not receiving tickets occur almost every event. So again, if people want to believe what they want to - then let them risk loosing hundreds of pounds. From my job, I have learnt never to buy a ticket from anything other than one of the three official agents as I have seen people time and time again getting conned, so I thought I would warn people against this. But if people want to slag of ticketmaster for ticket auctions, vip seat allocations, more tickets being released - let them, but its nothing to do with ticketmaster it's to do with the promoters.
