Thread for joining fans together at 'Earth Tour' o2 shows

Here, I thought it would be nice to have a thread about where people can share information about where they are seated and at which shows, so that when we see each other at the shows we would know a little bit about each other.

Starting with me: I have front row ticket for B2 on 21st sept, and I have vip tickets for the 1st aug and 13th sept. I'll be wearing something like purple jacket or black jacket.

whats your seat?

Saturday 1st September
102 Row L

Will be on my own so hopefully the people around me will be up for it, so I don;t look like a fool dancing on my own. I know you don't have to, but I never understand why some people don't get up and dance at gigs - everyone to their own I suppose. Can't wait, it will be my first Prince gig and my expectations are high smile

It is hard to keep still when Prince starts performing his classic hits like 'lets go crazy' and 'purple rain'. you will not be dissapointed, you will get more than you expect from prince in concert.

Hope so, when I went to see Madonna loads of people around us were sitting down through loads of it - didn't put us off though. Can't wait until 1st Sept, hopefully it will be the best night of my life.

Just look to the block to your right, couple of rows up, when you see two women dancing and going crazy excited - it'll be me and my friend! 1st Sept, block 103, row Q.
We'll dance with you... from a distance. But still...! wink

You know, if there any good web design people here... it'd be awesome if there was a simple website with a seating map of O2 for each night, where orgers could could mark their location on any given night smile That way you'd have an idea if there are any friendly faces gonna be nearby, or even arrange to meet up beforehand.

One of the shitty aspects of the O2 shows is that it was hard to book tickets together... so I'm sure many of us won't be able to sit with our friends and loved ones for the shows. The other bad thing is the location - getting out of the O2 late at night isn't so easy. I'm staying on the other side of the river in Canary Wharf which I think is a little awkward to get to once the DLR and Tubes stop running.

Perhaps Orgers staying at the same hotels or neighbourhoods could bunch up together when walking back, for safety etc.

For the area you’re staying in, the Crowne Plaza is about the best option as it is central to all 3 hotels and right next to Royal Victoria DLR station which is 1 stop from Canning Town which is 1 stop on the Jubilee Line from Greenwich where the dome is. Takes 10 minutes door to door. You can also see the dome from the pub – it’s only a few hundred metres away across the Thames.

I’ve attached a map of the area and a Tube/DLR map.
The key to the map is:

A: Travelodge London
B: Holiday Inn Express Docklands
C: Custom House Hotel Docklands
D: Crowne Plaza Hotel
E: West India Quay Pubs

(i think the green lines running near the dome are underground trains, not bridges btw - you need a boat or go underground to cross the water at that point, or a long detour)

there is also the above thread, which has died a death for now. i've attached a map someone put together for me, showing the main hotels in the area. it was suggested by someone who lives in the area that the crowne plaza (it's up a bit and to the right of the dome on the map, to the left of the excel which is middle right) is the best place for a fan meetup before the shows as it's central, plus it is fine for non residents to stay. a few people weren't happy with this arrangement, as they wanted the meetup to be in the hotel they were staying at, so they didn't have to travel, but the people who mentioned that weren't going to many shows. from whatever hotel you stay at you will probably have to get the tube, so the crowne plaza makes the most sense. i'm not staying there any nights, i'm staying at holiday inn, custom house and travelodge

i've got at least 1 ticket for all nites bar 1, so i've got a few spares (and good seats too) but i'll get rid of them closer the time. as it stands i'm planning to hit the crowne plaza before all the shows, except perhaps the opening nite as i'm gonna drink the vip bar dry (being scottish and all we like to get our moneys worth, ok and we're a nation of alcoholics)

i have too many tix to list, but i'm lower tier most nite, i got most tix in the presales, and i think most presale tix are all in the same areas, so if you were in the presale i'll prolly be sitting near you. i'm also planning on going to all the aftershows and extra secret/surprise shows to make the most of things before filing for bankruptcy after the tour. as long as prince don't return to the uk for another 7 years i'll be fine as my bankruptcy status will be over by then

Hey, We're going on Friday 17th. We are on the lower tier but not sure exact seats. We have provisionally booked the Novotel, or something like that. Apprently its not too far (?) I was considering staying somewhere else until I saw the 02 Arena website, looks likes theres a bit entertainment section there, restaurants, bars etc. Looks cool. Where are people going afterwards?

Yes, it would indeed be better to bet on how long it will take to return to Europe to tour for Prince after this stay at the O2. Will it be 5 years (as it was since ONA) or more?

Hey, I'm going on the 17th too, and the 18th. And I'm Irish too razz

On 17th I'm at: Section BK 101, row M, seat 30
On 18th I'm at: Section BK 414, row L, seat 770

No idea if they are good or bad seats! Probably shite, I was slow off the mark to buy the tickets.

I've decided to just rent a car so I don't have to rely on the night buses for getting back to the hotel after the gigs or aftershows. That means soft drinks only, sadly sad

Cool! I should have bought tickets for the Sat night too, mind you my friend has 2 small babies, so I dont think she could stay away for 2 nights - sure we'll make the most of it!

Any idea when the tickets are going on sale for the afterparty? BTW, did you get your tickets yet? I havent....
