why won't prince book anything for birmingham alabama or its surrounding areas????

Sorry, but all indications are that the London gig is his only foreign venture this year.

Come to the U.S. and you can see him perform in Minneapolis or L.A.

The last time Prince was in that area (Bham-NOrleans-Memphis-Jackson-Atlanta aka Chitling Circuit) for a big tour was around 1996-97...in Memphis around 2000...New Orleans 2004 for Essence Fest and Atlanta more recently. You may have to hold your breath this time around. The South is not known to be "big spenders in big numbers" to see concerts these days...like Madonna, Prince, etc. Who do you know would spend over $300+ to see any artist down the Durty Durty??

One of my family is moving to Birmingham, Alabama in a week for job.
They sound like they're moving to nowhere.
They miss California already.

The South is very slow on progress, resources and money. BUT people are nice, helpful and down to earth. In LA I cant get directions to go to a good doctor or better yet a Walmart round here. So much to moving to SoCal....

I live 2 hours from Birmingham and it isn't like you think. It's a nice city with lots of upscale shopping. I wish he would come around here too. He came to Memphis for the Musicology tour I think. This doesn't (so far) seem like that kind of tour though.

Hey all, Prince came through here (B'ham) 4 the Musicology tour. To my knowledge he's done maybe 3 or 4 shows here. I'm going to the show in MN b/c I know he's not bringing that one down south!

I bet Atlanta, Miami and Dallas will be the Southern tour cities.
