Official response from Ticketmaster re: seating Hi all
I finally got a response to my question about VIP and front row auctions today. Here follws the question and then the answer! Cant say Im too impressed!!!!! Hi can you give me some more info about the seating arrangements for the Prince at o2 concerts. I have VIP cruise golden circle tickets GA1 seats 1 and 2 I now see there is an auction for front row seats. Are these in front of VIP? Or behind. or a different block entirely ie are some VIP tix front rows? There seems to be a lot of confusion over this concert as we were previously told that the VIP cruise tickets guaranteed first front 10 rows no-one mentioned the front row being reserved for a later auction. I would be grateful if you could either let me know or put more info up on your site under the auction tix as I think many fans would like to have the chance to sit in front row seats and if that means joining the auction as well so be it. Many Prince fans are going on several nights. Many thanks for your help ANSWER FROM TICKETMASTER CUSTOMER HELP: The tickets available for auction are for front row seats, the VIP seating for this event has not yet been allocated and will be done on a first come first served basis in order of when bookings were made. Seats will be located in the very best seats within the first 10 rows of the floor seating and first 10 rows in the Mid Tiers. Seats will not be allocated until closer towards the date of the event, so at this time i unfortunately cannot state the exact location of the VIP seats. I am sorry i cannot assist you further at this time. I guess this answers alot of questions on here. Yes you will have allocated seats (its not a queue and fight your way in general admission as some think. No - VIPs will not definately get front rows but may I guess if they are not all auctioned off before the final seat allocation happens. Some vips will be in middle tier! Yes it is chaos and yes I feel cheated when I spent so much money on VIP I had assumed with my tix being GA1 seats 1 and 2 that I would be right up to the stage!!!!! walk with crooked shoes www.myspace/syblepurplelishous | |

Yes thats correct, Lets put perspective on this.... what TM regard as very best seats means the view of the stage at the closest point..... i.e if they were for a theatre, play performance, row aa, the first and closest 2 stage is often sold with restriction and although its closest to the stage it doesn't guarantee the best view!!! I could touch almost madonna when i was in cardiff.... but i couldn't see her during a whole song or two because i was on one side of the stage, literally, so i would not label it a vip view, .....(well we can debate that really, i could smell her !!! ) but TM don't think "oh everyone who is a VIP want to "smell touch dance with prince. And so the mid tier Will have the best view..... no heads in the way at all....These mid tiers are known as coporate boxes..... vip treatment by staff etc... the bar and all that. Thats also what vip tix are about. BUT I agree...all tix should go on sale the same day...or at least one advert announcement for the various seats and which day they go on sale ... One advert one map one pricing grid all on same page ok use different days to sell different price tix.... but ONE ADVERT. Hope you seeing this TM AEG Princely promotors and u better just hope there aint a riot!!!!
