VIP Package 10 first rows middle tiers

On 3121.com

The VIP Packages are now being sold as follows

Prince VIP Reception and Gold Circle seating

LONDON: Enjoy a pre-show party in The White Bar, with Buffet, complimentary drinks and entertainment. Transfer to the very best seats within the Gold Circle - the first 10 rows on the floor and first 10 rows in the Mid Tiers.

First 10 rows on floor & first 10 rows on middle tear. Now is this what was said originally, I don't recall middle tiers being mentioned?

Any comments.

You're right, the wording has changed from lower to mid tiers. It has also changed since yesterday on Ticketmaster from lower to mid. It was definitely lower tier yesterday.

Now, when I saw the pics of the O2 yesterday, there are indeed 'mid' tiers, unsurprisingly enough between the lower and upper tiers.

I am shocked at this new development and wonder what the hell they are thinking. Surely they don't think they can get away with changing this whole deal again. We definitely have a case against these people now. How can they put us in worse seats than those in the lower tiers and expect us to pay £240 for the privilege.

I bought my VIP ticket on the 10th May, and at that point it was advertised as being seats in the first 10 rows floor only. If I don't get that I'm going to sue the bastards - AEG that is not Ticketmaster. Let's face it ticketmaster are only the middle men here, it's AEG that we have to blame for this utter shambles.

i just purchased my VIP ticket, i think i managed to purchased it about 30 seconds just before 9:00am

that info about the first 10 rows and mid tiers is the same as all VIP tickets for all shows i think.

No it's not. First it was advertised as just first ten rows floor, then it then changed to first 10 rows floor and 10 rows lower tier, now no mention of lower tier, just first 10 rows floor and 10 rows MID tier. Look at the pic of the O2 there does seem to be a mid tier.

I think mid tiers refers to the lower tiers in the middle of the arena - blocks 102 and 111. A few rows back on those tiers should have the best view of the show, if the Musicology tour is anything to go by. Certainly better than being several rows back on the floor.

I think the only thing to do here is to make a note of all the changes & on what date, and if after the gig we feel we were "misold" something or something was "not as advertised" then we will take it up with AEG
Zaria7etan, you seem to be on the ball with this, can you make a note of what changes happend on what dates etc?

Hi Col

Yeah this changed defintely happened this morning. I wish I'd taken a print of the page before the changes. I'm not sure when it changed from just floor seats to the 'golden circle' seating - but if we search old posts here, it's likely we can pinpoint the date. I'll have a search.
We defintely have a case here if we don't get what we were sold that the time we purchased the tickets.

You could be right, it's just weird that they changed the description, and if you look at the photo of the arena, there does appear to be mid tiers

yes i see now that there are mid-tiers in the 02 arena photo, and it looks too far away from the stage. they probably thinking that people would not notice the changes from lower-tiers to mid-tiers like i did.

i just checked my email confirmations for the old info but its not written there, i am now going to save the current info in case if it changes again.

Yeah, no surprise that no descriptions of the package we bought are on any of our confirmation emails, or on our account info at tickemaster. I'm taking prints of everything now.

syble

Check out my thread and official response from tick master today!!!!!

They have laid out quite clearly and are saying first 10 rows and 'MID'tiers for VIP based on first come first served basis and seats will be allocated.

The people who bought on the presale VIPs off 3121/ticketmaster will surely have the best seats then any after that. Looking at the superbowl pics tho that stage allows for a heck of a lot of seats up close so there arene square blocks as such as you normally get so Im guessing theres alot of vip seating for sale (or was) filling alot of the floor.

Im just not sure about this mid tier business. Are these later released vip's?

who knows!!! its givin me a headache

All wnna know now is wheres the fater[arty gonna be?????million dollar question huh? lol

You could just get a refund and book two gold circle front lower tier seats plus a hotel for £118 per person!

Alternatively, cancel the tickets and bid on the front row?

You're right we could all ask for refunds, but it's a risk.
I bought the VIP ticket on the 10th May, and was one of the first buyers. At that point the wording was first 10 row floor only. I'm still hoping that it will be a great seat because of that.
The auction is obviously a risk as I may not get a ticket at all, and the hotel deal is out for me as I have already booked my hotel on a non refundable deal.
I'm gonna stick with what I have and keep the faith. If I don't get what I paid for I will sue AEG under the Trades Description Act 1968 and get everyone's money back for them! biggrin
I know that we're making a big issue of this, but £240 is nearly 8 times the normal ticket price and is a lot of money when you don't know what you've spent it on.

I know the recent photo of the arena has caused concerns over what the middle tiers are, but I'd still say that they mean the "centre" lower tiers as indicated by brown colouring on gold-circle seating. The thing is you can't buy middle tier tickets...only floor, lower or upper. And no one has been asigned middle tier so far. SO unless it's a total rip-off in which all those middle tiers have been specialy reserved to stick surplus VIP goers pushed back by auctioneers and excessive selling by agents (which is not entirely impossible I suppose) I'd still say, middle tiers in this case is a selection of "centre" lower tiers...

The thing is, the "brown" gold circle seats you are refering to have already been allocated. So they can't stick VIP buyers in those seats.

Totally agree! biggrin If you don't get anything less than premium seats at that price I think its a rip off. Go get em!

The law on your side is the Supply Of Goods and Services Act 1992, but its always a difficult one to fight. If you end up out side the first 10 rows of the floor (the description at the time of sale), then you should file an online claim for the full cost, minus £31.21, which you can say you expect to pay, having used the seat on the night.

The problem is in proving the changes. They changed it twice:

Original offer: "In The first ten rows"

Change one: "First ten rows of the floor or lower tier"

Change two: "First ten rows of the floor or middle tier"

I think your best bet may be to head them off at the pass and send a email now along the lines of this:

Dear Sirs,

I purchased through you, VIP tickets for the forthcoming Prince concert on 00/00/00.

At the time of purchase, your offer was for seats "within the first 10 rows on the floor". I accepted this offer and you subsequently took payment.

I have since noticed, with some concern, that your are still selling these tickets, but the sales description has changed twice and your offer no longer guarantees seats with the first ten rows of the floor. The first change mentioned the option of being seated in the front 10 rows of the lower tier, and the latest change now mentions a new “mid tier”.

As I’m sure you will understand, although your latest offer should not affect my purchase, I’m a little nervous and wish to seek security that my tickets will match the offer under which I purchased them, that being, seats within the first 10 rows of the floor.

Could you please confirm that I will be receiving tickets (subject to the show going ahead) that match the sales description at the time of purchase?

I look forward you hearing from you,

Regards
