I work for Ticketmaster and can assure you that you are blaming the innocent here. Ticketmaster is simply an agent - a means of booking tickets. It has nothing to do with the complaints about prices, package name changes, seating allocations or anything to do with the actual concert itself. All we do is put the events on sale and wait for the calls. Does anyone really think that Ticketmaster decided how to sell these VIP seats, what price they are and changed the selling policy when they didn't sell?? The promoters AEG are 100% to blame for all of these issues so please criticise them. I agree that it is incredibly unfair that the first 10 rows are overpriced and not on general sale. I was shocked when I saw the seating plan of tickets available before the gigs went on sale. Blame AEG for this stupid idea. And the front row seat auctions are simply Ticketmaster selling guaranteed good seats at an acceptable price to whoever wants to bid for them. Would you rather they were on ebay at 5 times the price with no guarantee of the buyer getting what he paid for?? If a genuine Prince fan wants to sit in the front row then he/she has much more chance of getting a ticket this way than booking normally.

One last thing - when the tickets aren't in your hands 2 weeks before the gigs then blame AEG as they probably won't give Ticketmaster the ticket stock until then as is the norm for any hot gigs these days. And guess who will get the blame and angry calls from customers??

Anyway, enjoy the gigs everyone. I'll be in Row 11 for 13 of them.

so its AEG thats advertising Floor seats at £31.21 for the final night? eek As an insider can you tell me if these seats actually exist? send me an org note if you wish..

cheers
One minute they want peace……

All 6 dates that went on sale today had Block E floor seats available at £31.21 each. And there were many more lower tier 100 block seats available than in the first onsale. Hope the real fans got the best seats today.

Jeez I wish I'd known that at 9am this morning, I already bought tickets in the presale, but would have loved to get my hands on floor seats for that price. I need to sell my soul and get me a job at ticketmaster smile

btw I have an angle on this that makes Prince look a lot better!
I call it the What If theory biggrin

What If
The tickets up for auction are simply VIP tickets that did not sell so far. It'd look silly to have the first rows empty, it'd look equally silly to lower the price on a package that people have already payed a lot for... they'd want their existing purchase converted to the new price as well. So it makes sense in this context to introduce a new package that gives us a second shot at getting the good tix, except now we would never be paying more than we think those tickets are worth. [quote]

I did try to explain this on anthother thread " what do u think of the auction/ vip ect...

I used to work for TM and all you have to do is put stuff in writnig.....
and ask for the seat number.... and get them to make sure they get it right.
If you get written confirmation... and they get it wrong you are in alegal position to get your money back even though you still go to the gig. (providing that there written vip seat confirmation is incorrect)

Collect all the adverts ecetera and get writing your complaints to ticketmaster and AEG!
After all you are VIP's are n't you?

Get wise, write a letter or two and don't ever think you really thought the music is free as in Free no fee!!!

I guess he could do both just about. Potentially a rather short show in London, 90mins tops finish 9.30, straight to city airport for private flight out and play one of his 2am shows in a club after all he won;t need to be back in London for quite a few days after that and that's probably the kind of timing to suit Benidorm nightlife... Or...he could do Benidorm early, like a matinee type thing, keep it short, say 30-40min set, and then fly back to London?

either way, if it's a straight conflict I'm sorry to tell you there's no way Benidorm will win it! Way too manby tickets sold for London already and Benidorm still seems "under construction"....

CHRIST! Ive just seen this!

I live near Benidorm and I booked my flight and ticket for the 25th August in London a while back. When I saw this I was in a state of shock! I would be completely gutted if there was a show in Benidorm whilst I had to tix to London shows!

Gladly, looked at the web reviews and web site, and it looks like a fraud... however, i get the feeling there is no reason to make it a fraud, so perhaps Prince wanted to come here in the first place and changed his mind for some reason. The promoters say they have a contract for him to appear in Benidorm and if he doesnt honour it, they will be taking legal action!

From what I see in the link, there is a slight possibility that he might come to Benidorm in Sept! This would be awesome and make my year!

Benidorm is only thin air so far.

I just scored another ticket at TM for the O2.
There appear to be some available again.(!!?) eek
Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.
