There is an updated (6/9) new promotional ad on the 3121perfume site for Revelations' package deal Okay, now there is a new package on the 3121perfume.com site
www.3121perfume.com Apparently this seems to be exclusively Revelations' own package deal because when you go to purchase it,it takes you straight to their paypal page: It states: 1600 tickets --. "Special Collectible Edition".. For $295.00 plus $25.00 for shipping and handling includes 2 perfume sprays (one 100ml engraved and one 15ml in a giftbox & velvet pouch included); Also includes a ticket to the concert-lower level seating, Sections - 132, 133, 136, 138, 104, 106, 109, 110 That package doesn't include Macy's show [Edited 6/9/07 12:54pm]

I just came from the site and was wondering if anyone had seen this. I'm sooooo confused and upset with how this has played out. So with this package, you pay $295 and you don't get the Macy's ticket? Also, so do you not get the same perfume and purple bag with the Macy's packages that were sold before???

From what I am reading on that site, it's apparently "Revelations" exclusive package. If you click on the purchase area, it takes you straight to Revelations paypal account page, so that means you have to have a paypal account in order to purchase it. I haven't seen the Macy's package so I couldn't tell you what it looks like, maybe someone on this site who purchased it could tell you what the contents were in that package. The ad that's on the 3121perfume site apparently states you get one 100mil edp (eau du parfum) spray engraved bottle and one 15mil parfum spray in a giftbox with a velvet travel pouch included. Plus a lower-level seat ticket to the Target show(the sections mentioned on that site), but it doesn't look like the Macy's show ticket is available with that $295.00 package that is being offered. Hi Everybody,
I'm the webmaster of www.3121perfume.com and I understand your confusion so I will try to explain what's going on. This whole event centers around the launch of the fragrance 3121 which will be introduced to the public by Macy's. Eventually it will be in other stores as well. But the way this works is like this: Prince got together with Revelations Perfume & Cosmetics, a fragrance manufacturer based in Pennsylvania, to develop a new perfume, the Xquisite 3121 Most celebrities, when they develop some retail product, like a line of clothing or perfume, etc, will simply make an appearance in the store that sells it and there is usually a party. Prince selected Macy's as the first store to make the fragrance available to the public on July 7 (07/07/07). And since Macy's has a branch in Minneapolis, his home town, Bingo! And let's give a concert! So Macy's put together a package that included tickets to the concert as well as the perfume. The 1,400 Macy's packages are sold out so now Revelations, the fragrance manufacturer, is making available another 1,600 tickets with a commemorative "Collectible" edition of the perfume. You can see the details on the website. One major difference between the earlier promotion and this one, is that if you buy the tickets on our website, Revelations will give 7% of all sales to 7 different charities selected by Prince and Revelations. And our PayPal shopping cart aceepts ALL MAJOR CREDIT CARDS in addition to PayPal, if you have an account. I hope this clarifies some of the confusion but if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me via the internal email system here. Finally - as a personal note - I have sampled the fragrance and it is really fabulous - fresh and floral - Prince is obviosuly a man of many talents [Edited 6/10/07 0:21am]

I think people were getting confused that the extra 1600 tickets that Revelations is selling at 3121perfume.com had included the "in-store Prince Macy's performance," but according to your message, we now see that 1600 tickets available now on your site is a separate package which does not include the "in-store Prince Macy's performance", but just the ticket to the Prince Target show only along with the "collectible" perfume sprays/w/giftbox/velvet travel pouch. Also, you should probably be aware that not all Prince fans come to these fan sites to be able to read your message you posted here, distinguishing both packages. You should probably indicate on your site that the Macy's package is sold out and no longer available, since you still have the advertisement in your "Announcement" section of your site. Or also let fans know if you still have a few of the Macy's package available directly at the Minneapolis store before the show. I know there were some people who left messages last week at the Macy's telephone number that was on the ad on your site, and were actually still waiting for a call back from Macy's. Also, I copied/pasted your message over at www.housequake.com, which is another popular, frequented fan site for Prince fans. But you can also post your message to let other Prince fans know about your package at the other fans sites, such as, www.npgunderground.org, www.glamslam.org and www.princefams.com if you want to post your message over there as well to sell those packages and let them know what's going on as well. Thanks...just my 7 cents...and some change, that's all.... [Edited 6/10/07 10:50am]

Zelijah - you are right and we may add an additional note about this but it has to be cleared first by the various corporate offices involved in this.
In the meantime, as long as you all know what's going on - we are happy!

In the meantime, as long as you all know what's going on - we are happy! ...thanks, in all due respect and absolutely no disrespect to you at all, but apparently, there were quite a few that actually didn't know what was going on. Just mentioning all this because some fans feel like they have been "bamboozled" and "hoodwinked". When we clicked on the "July 7th" portion of your site, we were able to see that "1600" tickets would be made available on June 6th. Now with diehard and other fans, that would leave them to believe that either that was the same package being offered as the Macy's package or maybe a package that may have included some "floor" seats or much better lower, tier seating in the package. Some people actually waited until June 6th to see if maybe that's what would have been offered and missed out on the "Macy's" package. Also, like I said, it should be stated with your 1600 advertisement that the "Macy's in-store performance" is not included in your package. I understand you are representing a Megastar like Prince, which is why we expected better advertising from your company. Keep in mind, I have no complaints about the price of the package, just that the way you "advertise" a product determines the success of a product. There are diehard and dedicated fans of Prince that have attended and supported many of his shows over the years, and of course, once an announcement of a show or concert is rumored, they of course will be the first ones to want to attend and purchase those tickets and represent, as you will see, should you or people from your company attend the Minneapolis concert. We know the Macy's package wasn't offered online the day of sale, but maybe your company could have offered your portion online the same day, since the people at Macy's stated the Macy's package was geared toward the Minneapolis locals, and whatever was left would then be offered to the "general public," by leaving your name/telephone number and they would call those on the list on Saturday morning, but many were getting calls as early as 1:00pm the same day. I would think that if they really wanted those packages to sell fast and make some money, they would have opened up the Macy's packages to everyone, some by internet sales of course the same day Macy's in Minne. had packages on sale. On that day, only the Target Center was having their non-Macy's package pre-sale going on too. Also, there was an ad posted on the 3121perfume site, stating there would be 1600 more tickets available;this was mentioned a couple of days after the Macy's announcement was made. Some fans actually thought that maybe there would have been extra Macy's packages or a package that might have included some "floor" seats or better lower tier seating. Not only that, one would think the Macy's package which stated "premium seating" would have offered, seating on the floor or in the much lower tiers (rows 1-10 before rows A-Z in the 104, 106 and 136 sections where they stated those were the sections they were selling with the Macy's packages). Some bought Macy's packages and ended up very close to the 200 section... . Anyway, I just feel that the advertisement could have been handled a little better by Macy's and Revelations, but despite all that, just want to also add that the "in-store Macy's performance" that was offered with the Macy's package is "much appreciated".....again.....just my 7 cents. The parfume granted is more than spray this should have been saved for the actual charity event for 7-7-07 and not prior to it's unfair and on top of that the tickets are being handled by too many organizations TICKETMASTER-3121PERFUME-MACYS somehow one should have merged to offer both opportunities simotaneously trust you would have made your numbers already! and not only that the seats are unsatisfactory reguardless of charity The people want to support . but we can't support if various companies are trying to market these so called deals more than once, and one more thing if everyone is at the show on July 7th who will be making sure the online event is a success ? obviously big wigs are reading these boards with that being said press release of everything planned would have been great to read this was HIGHLY UNORGANIZED [Edited 6/10/07 9:39am]

This is still wrong...people flew to MPLS to get what they thought were the best seats as well as the Macy's performance...now we have the worst of the worst seats (sec 104) and perfume that is not special edition or w/ a purple velvet sack, etc. I know we get the Macy's show but folks should have been given the choice between the two. Also, I would have liked to contribute to charity on 7/7/07 and I thought I wuld buy another bottle of perfume but look...you guys killed that too! It just seems like a case of too many cooks in the kitchen...

I don't know why this is a surprise to anyone. Any time you have an event like this, every entity involved gets tickets. Macy's get some tickets, Revelations gets some tickets, the Target Center gets some tickets, Prince gets some tickets, AEG (or whoever the promoter is) gets some tickets, radio stations get some tickets. And back in the days of the NPGMC -- they got tickets, too.
All of these entities get their tickets free and clear -- they can do whatever they like with them. Sure, it'd be nice to know what everyone's going to do. But these folks are acting in their own interests -- and not in concert with one another (pardon the pun). This is a bidness. Billy Sparks We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We're all aware of how tickets are divided among entities, but the advertising and promotion of the packages could have been marketed better and there is nothing absolutely wrong, with people airing their opinions on how the advertising of these packages could have been better and I'm sure that "webwoman", who apparently is answering questions for Revelations, does not mind hearing our opinions about it, especially if their product is attached to this package.
Macy's had their limit yes, but at the same time a certain amount of Macy's packages could have become available on the website for purchase the same day, letting people know that only a limited amount of the Macy's packages would have been available online that day or until they sold out, and when those sold out, then Revelations package would be available for purchase soon after. Target apparently was the only one having their (non-Macy's package) pre-sale the same time Macy's had theirs going on that day, of course they had to make their money too. All it says is lower level seating and I haven't heard of anybody getting seats in the 200s with the Macy's package. Any one who thought the seats were closer was making an assumption of something that was not stated. We have the private show with our package, that's the bonus. The only thing I think should have been done differently is that all the various ticketing options should have been listed on 3121.com, at the same time, (not Macy's, Ticketmonster, Target Center, Revelations or AEG). That way people could make an informed choice instead of relying on assumptions and speculation.
