The more I read the more relieved I am that I wasn't able to make it to this concert! Although....I'm still sad about missing out on seeing Minneapolis, as I've never been there!
Maybe I should set my sights on LA! He gets it! That's why the ladies love him...

Thatcher said: I live in MPLS and listen to talk radio all day at work. The station I listed to (KFAN 1130AM) was giving away tickets and doing contests and stuff. Anyway, the hosts of one of the shows have a regular caller who is a huge Prince fan. They got him on the phone to talk about the concert, tour etc. and he suggested that Prince would be using the same stage that he used during the Superbowl. I haven't heard this anywhere else and I have no idea where he got that info, but it makes sense because you can purchase tickets anywhere in the top section, including what would be behind the stage. If he is using that stage, that changes the seating chart ticketmaster is showing completely. I hope it's true because I'm in Section 104 and that looks kinda far from the stage with the chart they show.
That would be me who was on KFAN! I heard that from a guy who works with target center staging. He was not 100% sure though. He said everything is always up in the air when it comes to certain artists....like Prince of course!

Cool! I was hoping to hear from the source. The symbol stage makes sense so I'm hoping that's how it goes. Now, if I could just figure out how to get my hands on some floor seats... 1love

It seems everyone is up in arms about a show that is still a month away. I agree that it hasn't been the smoothest gig 2 ever go down but the way I look at it is it's Prince in his hometown on 07/07/07 2 concerts 2 bottles of his perfume and a shirt 4 $250.00 bucks. Not 2 mention the GOOD chance of an after show/party at Paisley Park.
AM I THE ONLY ONE ON HERE WHO IS BOUNCING OFF THE WALLS WITH EXCITEMENT???? As soon as I heard the date he was playing on and that he was taking it back 2 Minneapolis I had a feeling this was going 2 be big and I feel bad 4 anyone who lets some minor b.s. get in the way of seeing what is sure 2 be a legendary show. cu on 07/07/07 Jag Peace & Love

That would be cool...but there are tickets in row 36 on the floor...don't you think that would be stretching it a bit if it's really the symbol stage? I hope for you guys it is. I wish he would bring back the NPGMC. Charge us 100 bucks again, give us downloads and if and when he comes to our city give us the good seats dammit!!! I had really hoped to make this show but it's not going to happen this time. I'll be there in spirit! Praying for a NYC show

The capacity of the room they are holding it in is only 1400. Macy's employees themselves have to buy tickets if they want to attend. There are no more than 1400 "tickets" to the Macy's show. |

He said everything is always up in the air when it comes to certain artists....like Prince of course! Considering they've sold floor seats as far back as 20 rows for sure (I have a friend in row 20) and they are auctioning 15 rows or so, it doesn't make sense to have the symbol stage. Those seats would have to be in odd sections around it, much like the Musicology set up and not in 2 sections (floor 1 & 2) and there definitely wouldn't be room for 20+ rows on any side. This show is a traditional end-stage, as depicted in the map ticketmaster and Macy's have displayed. |

I have one question, does anyone know if the Target Center has a large video screen(s) in the arena? So if you are sitting at the opposite end of the stage will you be able to view the concert on video screens?

the target center is the home of the timberwolves, so i would like to believe that the arena has big screens. i'm just going to be prepared and bring my binoculars.

I called Target Center last week and asked if he was using the symbol stage and the woman I was speaking with said, "No, not that they were aware of". I can't see him using it with the floor seating being set up and sold the way it is although I wish he were.

Ya'll know that Prince can change his mind as much as he blinks! Now! That would make sense to use the symbol Stage-according to package deal location! but ya won't know till the day of probably! Peace!

Peace! Again, the main floor seating as they are selling it would not work with that lay-out. So unless they plan to piss everyone off who has floor seats, it's not gonna happen. |
