they changed it.. on most of the pages
that "pink rat" place (the web developers; link on homepage) messed up
-- it still says 1,600 if you're on the Announcements page, and the link doesn't work.

jeez.. they made it sound like
a) you could buy the tickets online from the perfume site.. "available here"
b) it was an additional 1600 tickets

and.. everybody already knows to call that # and that there were 1,400 to be sold.. hrmph

if there isn't something new/different posted there tomorrow.... rolleyes lol

confused Yeah, what a let down. So the question remains--who is getting all the floor seats? I guess those are the ones being auctioned off on Ticketmaster?

Does anyone know how many seats are in a row (on the floor) at the Target Center? Maybe all the great floor seats are being auctioned off through TicketMonster...

So that entire package is still available for $250?!? I'm getting impatient waiting for the LA tix. Maybe I should just purchase the package and hop on a plane to MN. At least I'll know the cost and date of my experience!

That's actually pretty jacked. They had a link there saying some tickets would go onsale June 6th. The NPGMC site was so much better at this.

It's kinda messed up that they had people stand in line at Macy's when it seems to me that they were going to put the packages online all along.

Am I reading the auction incorrectly? When I hold my arrown a box comes up and says "Flr 1 & Flr 2, row 1 seats 1-18" Is there roughly 36 seats across on the floor? (I would expect that radio stations and some other promotional people got a few pairs, so maybe 40 across??)

If this is the case and Ticketmonster is auctioning off the best seats in the house -- well, then they've in a way become scalpers themselves. I bet they were tired of regular scalpers making a profit and want to get a piece for themselves (besides having overpriced tickets, ridiculous services charges, etc.)

Maybe the auction os part of the charity event.

Okay, good point. If it's going to charity that's one thing -- though why wouldn't they say that's where profits are going towards? I would be more willing to spend money if I knew it was going towards a good cause.

Wow, so much for thinking that Prince was holding out good seats for the fans on the 3121perfume.com site. They're just selling the Macy's packages. shake I am so disappointed in the way things turned out for this show. I mean, my seats are cool, but dag. I will miss having all the real folks creating all the great energy at the show. Instead, I'll probably be around a bunch of stiffs who stay seated asking when he is going to do LGC, PR, or Kiss. rolleyes

Yeah, Prince ain't feeling nothing but the money this time. He's getting his cut from TM auctioning the first 19 rows, which is just taking advantage of fans IMHO. If you want to charge more for your tix, then do it, but don't act like someone can get the best seats for $131.21, then auction off the first 19 rows starting at $150. What kind of noise is that? The Macy's packages could have at least contained better lower level seats, they're all the same price. Who got those good ones on the sides of the stage?

So is this what the new 3121 era is all about? Exchange the loyal fans who supported the NPGMC club site, releases and concerts for fair weather, see and be seen, less-than-casual fans who have the money to spend on auctioned front row seats, but haven't purchased a Prince album since Purple Rain?

Ya'll know I love me some Prince, but he knows he's out of pocket on this one. He better work it like the rent is due on 7/7/07 at Macy's and the TC for all this drama!

And to think, all those people stood in line all that time for nothing. They could hav waited until today to get a Macy's pkg. This was some bull for real. They know that little popup that said tickets to the concer would be available was totally misleading.

bummer. sad

...just my 2 cents.

I think everyone is a bit surprised about this. It would have been better if they sold it online for people outside of Minne to purchase, the same time Macys had it available for the locals in Minne. to pick up, that way fans would not have had to pay airfare just to fly in to buy a package.

Seems from what I've read on these threads, that some fans that bought their tkts straight from the target center & Tktmaster may have seats within the same section as the folks who bought the Macy's package.

I kinda agree with the fact that this auction thing is just a legal way of scalping..best tickets goes to the highest bidder. They could have at least given some of the front row floor seats or the lowest side tier seats close to the stage, to some of the fans that bought those Macy's pkgs, since they claim they would get premium seats,

i think alot of people are feeling the snuff this time around. i almost bought tickets to MN...but changed my mind, and I am glad I did. For me, someone who can't afford to travel (this was going to be my bday present), I can't see going from Texas to MN for lower level seating....nah....not happening.

I'm curious to know if tickets for the lower level sections has been sold. When I called ticket master they told me the only seats they have available are the 70 dollar seats in the 200 sections. They also claim they don't know anything about the floor seats being auctioned.

I live in MPLS and listen to talk radio all day at work. The station I listed to (KFAN 1130AM) was giving away tickets and doing contests and stuff. Anyway, the hosts of one of the shows have a regular caller who is a huge Prince fan. They got him on the phone to talk about the concert, tour etc. and he suggested that Prince would be using the same stage that he used during the Superbowl. I haven't heard this anywhere else and I have no idea where he got that info, but it makes sense because you can purchase tickets anywhere in the top section, including what would be behind the stage. If he is using that stage, that changes the seating chart ticketmaster is showing completely. I hope it's true because I'm in Section 104 and that looks kinda far from the stage with the chart they show.
