London is not a sell out - yet! Despite reports saying all 15 nights at the O2 are sold out this is actually not true. It does appear that virtually all lower tier and upper tier tickets through Ticketmaster are gone but they still have Floor/Gold Circle tickets available (and I ain't surprised if they are £235 each!)
SeeTickets have £31.21 and £235 tickets available for some nights (I suspect because they are no longer telling you whether you are getting upper of lower tier and people don't want to risk it). Ticketline have tickets for some night but "seats will be allocated on a first come first served basis" so in other words they don't know what their specific allocation of seats is yet. And so it goes on, most other ticket agencies have an allocation (and many of these so called agencies are asking people to pay a massive premium for those). My concern is that by having so many nights there is: a) Distinct chance they will not be sold out and we will see big section of seats empty b) If the venue is not sufficiently sold out then they might even consider cancelling a couple of the nights!!!!! Even though these are the only gigs in Europe for the last five years I still don't see Prince being able to shift nearly 345,000 tickets (assuming a capacity of 23,000). That said of course, I got my tickets for several nights 'I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally. He's with our son now.' Mayte 21st April 2016 = the saddest quote I have ever read! RIP Prince and thanks for everything.

there is no way shows will b cancelled, its one of the biggest, fastest selling tours in the UK ever, if he sells out every show at 23,000 capacity we're talkin about the biggest tour since Michael Jacksons Dangerous!

There is no doubt in my mind that he will sell out all of the shows. He and his people know what there doing. He is correct when he says that no other artist is setting the world on fire these days. This will be the biggest concert of the second half of the year.

I did however read about him selling 140, 000 tickets (translating to I believe 7 shows...)....Anyway you slice it, the old man is doing some major damage...It will be interesting to see if Prince can sell out all the dates...As it stands today, it's a great start... I haven't been to any large scale concerts before and these will be my first seeing P. Managed to get tickets for 2 dates added on Friday after the intial 7 dates appeared to sell out. Don't know how these things work..just hope they don't cancel the later ones or there goes my chance to see the man live.

I'm actually hoping they add another date! Was thinking the 9th would be the last night, and didn't buy for the 13th...
Last night of the tour is usually something special (a fact that doesn't seem to be lost on people! 13th sold out surprisingly fast... especially for a Thursday night)

At the moment (Sunday noon/Europe) TICKETMASTER says for all 15 shows "CURRENTLY NOT ON SALE" (the 31,21 tickets). Only VIP-tickets can be ordered except for two shows: August 4 & 11 (Saturdays).
At SEETICKET you can order 31,21-tickets for September 9 at the moment. For all other shows they say "CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE" or even "SOLD OUT". They don't have VIP-tickets for 3 shows: Aug. 4 & 11 & 18. [Edited 5/13/07 4:35am] Get sexy sex, get funky at... The ORANGE Park - Funky President, people, it's bad!

Hey people I'm not saying it won't sell out, just worried it won't! I truly hope I am proven wrong because it would be a real shame to have either cancelled shows or shows where there are obviously empty seats (I remember going to see Lenny Kravitz a couple of years back at Wembley arena and there was a whole block empty! It looked awful)
I just have a feeling that there will be gaps in the upper tier (not so bad), the lower tier will be full (with a lot of genuine Prince fans) but the golden circle/floor seats will have space because they are too expensive AND a lot of the people in those seats will not actually be from Prince's core fan base (unlike the fantastic idea of NPGMC when the front 10 rows were always the hard core fans). 'I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally. He's with our son now.' Mayte 21st April 2016 = the saddest quote I have ever read! RIP Prince and thanks for everything.

The tickets have only been on sale 3 days.
Even if he "only" sold out 10 days thats still 230,000 tickets in the first weekend. Don't panic yet! [Edited 5/13/07 5:21am]

And my point is that it IS being reported that the "tour" is a sell out and it quite obviously isn't!
Not sure whether it is a good marketing ploy to say it is a sell out in order to get people to snap up any tickets they find quickly OR a bad marketing ploy because people might say "oh I won't bother because it's a sell out". Anyhow, my original post was about the factual inaccuracy! 'I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally. He's with our son now.'
