Book tomorrow... or wait for new dates?

This post is possibly in the wrong area of the board, but I'm really just looking for peoples opinions...

I'm looking to book tickets to just one of the London shows, but I'm kind of in a quandry about what to do...

I had an o2 pre-sale password, which I took a chance on not using, in the hopes that the rest of the tour dates would be announced, but as we know, they haven't.

So, do I go ahead and try to book tomorrow... and risk seats in the 768th tier, or wait, patiently, for the rest to be announced and hope that it's at a better, smaller venue, and try to get in on that?

There must be other people in this situation, please someone help make up my mind...

Thanks.

I have the same thoughts as you. I want to go to one of the gigs, preferably one of the small ones which has not been announced yet. But can I risk not getting tickets at all if I wait for the small venues, and this fails. Will there be tickets left for O2 then?? We will be travelling from Norway, so we would prefer weekend-tickets, and thats probably even harder to get... Not an easy choise confused But I bet I will be online tomorrow at 9, cant risk not getting tickets, this will be my one chance for a long long time, bet he wont come to Norway, even if he has been here in the early 80'ies.

I've done exactly the same thing- I would prefer to see him perform at a smaller venue, but is it worth the risk of waiting ? Best get the O2 tickets tomorrow morning just in case...

Hard to know whether O2 just had a limited allocation of seats, some close to stage, some not and hence why their 'pre-sale' doings wasn't exactly as great as they were making out, or whether all the best seats are taken.

We'll find out about 9:00am tomorrow, I suppose.

Can't wait to barely hear Prince from some distant back-row confused

I only found out about the presale this afternoon - by the time I got the code, there were only upper tier seats available.

But I presume that was because any better presale seats all went early AM, but that tomorrow morning there will be at least lower tier, and floor seats available from the general sale from 9AM.

I've decided I'm going on the 14th, the last night. That way, if any more gigs are going in the following week in smaller venues like the Apollo ( pray ) I will be chuffed to smitherines. U decided when you going yet? Would be cool to meet up after... smile

You don't have to take the seats tomorrow, you get to see where they are before you confirm, so there's no risk. I'm definately going for o2 tickets because of the album, I just hope it is new and not 3121 but he surely can't still advertise that as his new album, can he?

I'm sure there will be other dates at smaller venues, or at least, that's what I'm hoping. Not really hyped about the o2 gigs to be honest.
RIP sad

looks like that was that folx-looks like they held back a few days so that they would def sell out earlier dates 1st.

Managed to get more tix for september 12th, weds as well as 3rd/14th aug all lower tier - pretty chuffed given the price - a couple of them are on work days so ill either b a wreck or buzzing the next day!

Hope you got what you wanted

I've put some opinions on what im thinking here. http://www.prince.org/msg/12/227135

Im going 2 try at 9am I dont think there will b any different venues as 3121.co.uk states "21 Nights with Prince at the O2 Arena".

Also throughout the day dates were added at different rates I think depending on how fast they sold and the last night listed 14th Aug has only sold out in the past hour or so. They are now I think just trying to get these finished and then adding more tomorrow possibly. I've been on for nearly 12 hours now with only 2 1/2 hr breaks checking the relevant sites. pc machinegun

You will definately get tickets from orgers as many bought normal tix and then went 4 the VIP tix and want 2 get rid of their normal tix. I got some like this 4 Aug 1st.

Good luck and when u get through on ticketmaster online take the first bookings u get their usually the best u can get.

Good luck wildsign
