Ticketmaster Response To Remaining Dates

I phoned ticketmaster in UK today to enquire if they knew anything about releasing tickets for the remaining dates - here's what i heard

> Some extra tickets were released today and were sold out quickly
> almost all tickets for the entire tour are sold. "currently not on sale" on ticketmaster means they are sold and not available to sell !!
> Ticketmaster rep mentioned a new date Sep 6th would be released soon but I'm not sure how true this is...
> they had no infor on the remaining nights (post sep 13th).
> was advised to keep checking website.

There you go - not very insightful but thought i'd share..

thanks, I'll keep an eye out for the 6th, but basically Ticketmaster seem pretty clueless. The perfect ticket system still does not seem to exist.

And I officially hate them too smile

That's just a lie, as we've discovered over the last few days. I've said it once and I'll say it again - the NPGMC avoided all this.

Thanks. This is a total lie. Ticketmaster will continue to release tickets every week up until the week of the event. Their current allotment may be sold out but check daily and weekly and tickets will continue to appear AND they seats will get closer and closer. This is their standard M.O. with every show not just Prince. When it's REALLY sold out the link will say "Sold Out" and even then they'll release a few more tickets closer to the event date.

For some club members maybe, but not for folks who had to use TM. Besides, it's not like the club sold an unlimited number of tickets. There was a very limited number of tickets so most club members STILL had to buy tickets from Ticketmaster.

That's true - but at least you knew that if you were on the site the moment they released the tickets, you were in line for the best seats. And when they were sold out, they were sold out.

I know people did have problems getting tickets because of the limited numbers, but despite some hairy moments, I got member tickets to several gigs in the UK and US.
