Y R there no seats 4 NPGMC memberz in the bigger venues? Y is it that the bigger venues do not provide seats 4 NPGMC memberz??
4 Xample: - the Ahoy; - Oberhausen; - Antwerp. & eye don´t mean seats on the sides, but in front of the stage! Eye am a member but eye still have 2 get in line early in the morning 2 get a good standing (!) place so not 2 B squashed. eye´ve already mailed the club about this, but they told me 2 contact the venues/Clear Channel.

That's one of the major reasons why I won't visit Ahoy (although in my home country) but choose for Hamburg... I need a seat for my pregnant and Prince-crazy wife...

In the past these big venues provided special fences which separated the early birds (people who slept before the venue the night before) from the 'regular' fans. My guess is that in the big venues they will provide a special standing section for the NPGMC-members. And you know, sitting is still an option. In Antwerp (sportpaleis) there have been concerts with full seating capability, and I think the same applies for Rotterdam. Dutch folks, help me out here... dazzler

I 'remember' sleeping outside to get the best standing places (in the box)... but sometimes a few stupid assholes succeeded to waste our efforts by pushing, etc. leaving us in the general section... Ahoy can be such a place were even sleeping outside doesn't guarantee. But: the last 2 times a few fams handed out numbered tickets, (first come first serve) to secure our places... Good luck in Rotterdam dazzler.. Marc.

Marc. yeah eye remember those dayz 2! awful!! some sleasebag bimbo (truck chauffeur) was always trying 2 cut the line! one day at the Ahoy there was this truckchauffeur cutting the line, but she was noticed & everybody yelled "zij is een truckchauffeur, truckchauffeur" & we all threw empty beer cans at her

In the retail section it says the tickets are for the first several rows. To me this suggests seats.
In the concerts section it actually says seats. So legally there will have to be seats. I have been to the Ahoy several times to fully seated concerts (although not by Prince), so it has been done in the past. The Sign o the times tour was all seated, even though it was in a football stadium. I,m counting on seats everywhere.

In sportpaleis, Antwerp there have been fully seated concerts. Because the 0 level of the sportpaleis was sold out very quickly, my guess is that all the venues are going to be fully seated. Even the Zenith in Paris. dazzler

You know that stories like that one are history, with the club and all. Now we go into the venue as VIPS before everybody else, relax, watch the soundcheck, jam with prince, have a beer, enjoy the show, relax, go to the aftershow without stressing or queuing.
man that 100$ made our live more boring!! dazzler

in antwerp sportpaleis there have been full seated shows.
Even prince had one, Lovesexy was full seated. But now, the 'pay and go' website lists 'middenveld staand' so that means standing.

You don't understand. I guess that especially in the Netherlands and perhaps abroad there will be a special section on the (standing room) floor ("voorste vak"). This time, this tour I think the vak will be 99% exclusively for NPGMC members and their introducees. So there's no need for queueing up so early. udo Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

Hmmm. Why do we need seats? Of course there are some exceptions but most of the people in front of the stage would stand about 95% of the time if they had a choice to sit down. (medical conditions, etc excluded) At least that's my guess. This also means that I'm curious about what happens in all seated venues like the ones in scandinavia. Will we actually sit down during the show? udo Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.
