So, who´s going to Oberhausen?

Who is going to Oberhausen? I´m gonna be there and I really love the Arena. I´ve been there many, many times. It has a great acoustic for such a big place. There is a great shopping centre nearby ("Centro Oberhausen"), but as the concert is on a sunday, it will be closed.

I´m so excited and happy to be able to see the soundcheck. I´m sure there will be no aftershow. I bet he will do one in Berlin. What do you think?

Well you never know.
I saw him perfrom in Brussels in 1993, starting at 5 in the morning. Still the day after he had to perform in Mainz.

But it's true that dates that are followed by a day off during this tour, MIGHT have a larger chance than for instance Oberhausen.

I saw the aftershow in Cologne, December 1998. It was absolutely faboulous. One of my best concert experiences ever. I danced on stage, he was just one meter away.

Jasper, are you german?

Bist du Deutscher? Das Konzert wird bestimmt ganz großartig!

The last time i've seen him was in cologne in 12/98 where the concert was shorter than normally on the nps tour. there were some difficulties with the cologne-arena people and so the aftershow was even announced at the concert.

concerning aftershows you never know but as far as i know he never played an aftershow there, neither when in dortmund nor in essen ('86). and the day after it he's in paris where he usually performs aftershows... (although there are a lot of possibilities for parties as well as shows.)

So, incredibleD, were you also at the aftershow in Cologne in 12/98? It was incredible.

Zanallee: Yeah, I was really upset, when he left the stage just when Mr. Hayes started to play "Days Of Wild" because of that damn joint. But Candy saved the Situation, as we all know!

No, I know that the holland-concerts are said to always have a great atmosphere because the fans there are really devoted. But I´m only going to Oberhausen this time. If the soundcheck will be good I´m definitely going to be happy with that one concert.

I was thinking ´bout going to Berlin, but it´s too expensive (tickets, hotel, fuel would cost around 500 Euro altogether and I just don´t have that money). I bet there is an aftershow in Berlin, that´s why I really would like to go!

Where is Oberhausen in relation to Dusseldorf?

It´s quite close. From Düsseldorf, you move in direction Duisburg, and then you should see signs to Oberhausen. Maybe 20-30 Minutes from Düsseldorf. The Arena is in a part of the city called "Neue Mitte". Follow the signs to "Neue Mitte" and park your car in the large Parking of the big shopping mall called "Centro Oberhausen". The König Pilsner Arena is just 100 Meters away!

You take the train to "Oberhausen HBF" (you can take it from Düsseldorf, if you are there) and when you come out of the main entrance of the Station in Oberhausen, you go to the Bus-Station on your left-hand side (not the one in front of you). From there you can take any Bus going to "Neue Mitte" (three stops from there, about 7 Minutes). The Bus stop is right in front of the Arena, you just have to go down the stairs and then up to the Arena to your left.

I will go 2 Oberhausen as well. It is near the border of Holland, just as far away as Antwerp is from my hometown.
