Manchester Gig

Well seeing as I spent all monrning like the rest of you guys trying to get tickets to London - with no luck at all. I'm now travelling all the way up to Manchester from the South Coast - as I've never been to Manchester before in my life - can any of you guys give me some info on it.

- How close is the Apollo to the Picadilly Train Station as my hotel is nearby.

- Is there any org thang being organised...the concert I'm going to is the 8th

- Where is a good place to eat?

- What is ther to do the following day before I come home?

Over to you guys...help me out please...I'll just be a little guy lost in a big city otherwise!

JDINTERACTIVE said: Sorry didnt mean to repeat the message! Anyway, here are some details I hope you will find useful.

The Apollo is not very far from Manchester Picadilly at all, about 5 mins away on Stockport Rd. Best to take a taxi from the station though as its quite hard to find.

Dont know about any org.com get togethers unfortunately.

There's plenty to do in Manchester. Good shopping on Oldham St, particularly in Afflex Palace, jus off Market St. Eating wise, try one of the bars on Deansgate.

There are plenty of clubs and pubs dotted in and around the town centre, try Oxford Rd, for pubs and clubs.

Hope this is useful! I cant wait myself.

i'm just hoping there's taxis outside the venue to get back to the train station.I don't fancy it on foot,it's in a pretty rough area from what i've heard.

The area isn't that rough, U get good & bad wherever U go. The Apollo is 10 min walk from Piccadilly train station and is easy to fing (A6 Stockport rd). There's taxis and an all night bus (192) back to city centre, but if you staying near the train station I would walk, you'll be so buzzing afterwards who wants to sit in a taxi. eyepop
