Berlin - 19 October - who's coming?!?!?!

Hello,

since groups seem to organize for specific dates, why don't we organize for the Berlin concert?

Anybody knows what the venue exactly is... I'm coming from a neighbouring country so any details would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks/Danke

Aga

I'm from Copenhagen, and I'm going to the Berlin gig as well as the one in Copenhagen.
In Berlin it's at the Tempodrom http://www.tempodrom.de/html/intro.htm , which looks like an alright concert spot, check out this descripton:

The Big Arena - Classic in shape. Built like an ancient amphitheatre. Not only are the acoustics of the Big Arena brilliant, they also create an atmosphere of intimate proximity to the performers. Equipment is adjustable - just right for a varied programme spanning from concerts and theatre performances to banquets and sports events.
The 850 square metres of the ring, plus another 480 square metres in the stage area, provide adequate space for competitions, be they figure skating, indoor tennis, basketball or boxing, snooker or volleyball.
Seating capacity: 3,700.

well, it seems that he actually does not play at Tempodrom. First, in fact the venue was Tempodrom, however with a change of the date (from October 27 to October 19) also the venue changed. Now it's ICC, Saal 1.

I live in Berlin. The concert takes place in the ICC which stands for "International Congress Centre". On this page you'll find some photos of the venue which is a rather unromantic place (as the name suggests): http://www.icc-berlin.de/..._1_6-f.htm . I'd say that Tempodrom would have been much nicer, but anyway, I'm glad Berlin is hosting a concert as well.

In case I'm the only one among us who's actually living here and there are a few people who'd like to meet before the concert I would think of a nice cafe/pub... Just tell me.

aarr..

yeah i see the information about tempodrom has been changed to icc on the npgmc site now as well. too bad. the tempodrom looked relly fine and cozy, the icc looks like a complete concrete nightmare.

we're two people coming from copenhagen, i don't know yet what time we'll arrive in berlin, but I'll certainly let you know if we need some information...

see ya. headbang

Looks quite big actually! 9000 thousand people, or something like that right?
Anyway, I'm coming with a friend from Hamburg. We'll arrive on the 18th and stay until the 19th in the Ibis Hotel very close to the arena.

The ICC web site says that the Saal 1 and 2 can be combined to include 9100 seats. Saal 1 alone has 5000 seats, so I guess they will only use Saal 1.
Or do you think the demand for tickets will be high enough to use both?

Hi, I think you are not the only one who lives in Berlin who is going to the concert. There´s a message for you in your mailbox. See you!

wave I'll be there (since I live in Berlin its quite comfortable) and I guess BillyJackBitch, Madsex and Princess will come as well! For everybody who wants to hang out at a cool aftershowparty go to
"Jazz Food Kantine" at the Pallasstraße/Corner Goltzstraße. Its a real hip soulfood restaurant, DJ will play 70s Funk and Soul and rare Prince tracks. Its NOT the official Party, so in case there will be one it will NOT happen at that place. Hope to see you at either place.
