hey - i live in dublin. The Point is very near the city centre, just a 20min walk down the river, so any hotel in the city will be just fine.
Of course if you want to stay in the city centre then the hotels will be more expensive. I'd recommend for price (around 90 euro per night),location (5 min taxi from the point/city & in a safe area), and a good quality hotel I'd recomend the Bewleys Hotel Ballsbridge... here's a link with some info & you can book here too:

hope that helps...counting the days till the 10th...

I saw our man in The Point in 1995 and it was a good concert. The venue is one of the larger ones, I'd say but as far as I remember nobody complained about the acoustics. Have fun in Fair City.

Go to www.ireland.travel.ie to search for and book cheap accomodation. It's the Irish tourist board and they list cheaper guesthouses, cheap hotels, etc. as well as swish, expensive hotels.

When you get to Dublin Airport, the easiest way to get to the City Centre is to get the blue Aircoach (6 euros) from outside the door of the arrivals hall. If you are staying in the city centre, then probably the Aircoach will have a stop near you. It takes about 20-30 minutes to get into the city, more if traffic is bad.

The Point is in Dublin City. It is on the north side of the River Liffey (facing the river) near the port. Once you are in Dublin, any taxi or persn on the street can tell you where it is. It is an easy walk from the centre.

Have fun! C U at the gig!

Is there many going to the Point gig?
I am from Limerick and wouldn't mind meeting up with some other Orgers before the soundcheck.
