Mystere was very good, Ka and O also get very high marks, but I have not seen the shows.

Penn and Teller are good, but talk too much. Lance Burton does a more traditional show (and maybe cheesier because of it) but I liked the show more.

Drai's nightclub (in Bill's Gambling Hall, formerly the Barbary Coast) is a good late night spot. Getting there at 2 or 3 AM is about right.

Purple Reign actually does a decent show. Purple Reign schedule

Any interest in jiggle shows?

I don't know about Chippendales since I'll meet up with my family in Vegas and we all want 2 c a show 2gether; we wanna c a Cirque du Soleil show since we've never been 2 one. I'm going solo 2 c Prince though as it's 2 late 4 them.

If you are there with kids, then you might also want to check out
the Mac King show at Harrah's. It is an afternoon show, Monday-Saturday, and you should also be able to fid coupons for 2 for 1 admission or something similar.

rainbowchild there's a thing on the strip in 4 places called Tix4Half or something similarly silly.
Supposedly all unsold tickets are sold through these desks a few hours before the show starts.

We saw Le Reve at The Wynn and LOVED it!! It was not a Cirque du Soleil, but pretty much identical. The stage is in the center of the theatre, so there are no bad seats. The stunts are incredible. However, I recommend front rows if you can. You will get a little wet. Look into it...amazing.

Another one we liked was Zumanity. That was entertaining. My husband saw Mystere and really liked it a lot. I didn't get to see it. O was good too, but I like Le Reve a lot better. Have lots of fun at 3121! Let us know which show you see. Of course the best show in Vegas is at 3121!!!

That's solid advice for those without a specific show in mind. You may not have luck getting Cirque this way, especially on the weekend.

I heard The Wynn is not family friendly-- meaning they don't want kids going in there. Is that true?

I heard that about the Wynn before and don't know if that is a fact or not. I would say kids would love the show and the dives they do from over a hundred feet up. I am not sure how young they are, but they may love it. Maybe call the hotel and ask their opinion and about being kid friendly. I am almost certain I saw kids in strollers going through the hotel. It is one of the higher end hotels. Worth checking out about the show though if they feel kids are welcome and would enjoy it.

I just looked at a review of it and it does say that the show is kid friendly, but for ages 12 and over. Here is a link telling about the show: http://shop.vegas.com/sho...how_review

Just saw Purple Reign on Sunday night, and I have to say that it was REALLY entertaining. The Prince impersonator has his schtick down really well--fine little slender body with a tight behind, even! But he's got to be at least a foot too tall! LOL! Sunday night he did a rendition of Adore that was pretty impressive (the band actually PLAYS--not lipsync). But it's a late show--not for kids.

With kids, there's a lot of free stuff to do! I would definitely make sure to go to M&M World (4 floors of nothing but M&Ms!), see the fountains outside the Bellagio, Hoover dam (about 45 mins to get there, about 30 mins to get home), the southern rim of the Grand Canyon is 2-3 hours away, and Red River Canyon is 20 mins away.

You can also check out Madame Trousseau's wax museum at the Venetian and take a Gondola ride.

Be prepared, though, that there is A LOT of imagery in Vegas that is not really kid-friendly. BIG billboards of almost naked men and women, VERY suggestive stuff on almost every taxi and bus. I don't know the ages of your kids, but just be aware. If they are old enough to notice, you'll just want to be prepared for their question. I can imagine my 8 and 5 year old would be pretty bug-eyed. . .

Hope that helps. . .

I'm going to see Zumanity Friday (4/20) but I think that's an erotic adult show. I think circus circus has an amusement park inside and out. The last time I visited vegas we went to the rides on top of the Stratosphere that was a funtime. You better get some rest too. I'm gonna sleep until 3pm Saturday just to make sure I'm prepared. What time are you going to stand in line for the show?

Just came back from the 3/31 show at the RIO it was great. HOwever the venue is small and was really crowded. No smoking inside and no bathrooms inside you have to go out through the casino. He came on at about 1215am. It was great Shelia E was there and Tamara. They both did a great job. Prince played a few songs from 3121 but alot of old stuff. The concert wasnt really for the casual prince fan there was no Lets go Crazy or Little red Corvette just Purple rain. The concert was GREAT and I really recommend it to anyone that is a prince Fan. The gift shop was small and one shirt i asked about was over $70. WOW to rich for my blood. We did get 2 regular shirts for 31.21 each

last time i was there saw Penn and Teller, there was 6 of us and we all thought it was crap, i was asked to leave b/c i fell asleep and was snoring too loudly. Elton John was great, if u like elton john, my friends saw the water version of O and said it was boring, the Bellegio was fully booked and apparently awesome!
