Any aftershow chaos stories? Hi there,
Just returned from my 1st 3121 experience on March 30 & 31st. Hit the aftershow on Friday and the main show on Saturday. You figure after months of aftershows, they would have a FAIR system in place. Got to the 3121 jazz cuisine about 1230 am which already had 10 people ahead of me.Some got there as early as 9pm. I asked whats the deal for wristbands and I was told no wristbands would be sold as there is a FULL GUEST LIST in place. So the second free room would be left over.Guy behind me left after 5 songs in2 the main show to hold spots for his friends. As the main show ended, 10 ahead became 40 to 50 ahead as people were holding spots for others. Then it appears that some people did have wristbands and business card with numbers written on the back. Then a big rush to the front doors from the line happened. People were ready to fight and were cussing others out.Been a fan for over 20 years and I never seen this happen in the BAY AREA.Me and my buddy did get in the second room. I noticed that some people knew some of the employess and were able to get wristbands to the main aftershow room. The aftershow was cool but they need to be fair with people that have been waiting in line for awhile. They should just pass out numbers when you arrive in line. As for Saturday, I asked whats the deal for the aftershow. I was told no second room and the first 80 people or so for free. I had tickets for the main show as I was not leaving early as I wanted a full show.As the main show ended, I was in a long line for the aftershow. They did open the second room but I was not getting in this time. I heard they are closing the cuisine so the aftershows in the future are up in the air. I agree with another orger who said no aftershows could mean LONGER MAIN SHOW which I think is better since no FAIR SYSTEM seemed to be in place. Any other aftershow stories?

Yes - 3/24 was similar story and all you can do is just chill and laugh it off cause P's being doing this kinda unorganized non planning disappointing kinda thing to his fans at aftershows forever
Dude needs to hire an event planner or some shit... [Edited 4/2/07 21:43pm] The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

I'm surprised nobody makes a list. Put your name on it and your spot is held. Maybe the people that get their first can make it? Seemed to work pretty well for the ONA tour.

I actually skipped that drama. Kind of embarrassed about it, but I know my limits.
One funny one Venessa bfly was telling is that a guy started getting all loud about the BS and brought his wife was pregneant. Immediately all the other ladies line said '.. I'm prego too..." I was actually surprised, because we waited in line and watched the show next to these people and they were nice and mellow. I even joked about her being 7 months and in heels.

There were tons of the bands families/friends, celebrities and people from record company there. Even the people from the record company (Universal I believe) had to have their names on the list or they couldn't get in. For the outer room, you had to have a number to get in, and as people left they would let more in. The lines for the aftershow wrapped all the way around the corner not far from the club, both evenings.

It even got to the point that one girl was messing around and yelled, "Hell, I'm ovulating! Does that count!?!" Too funny!

Any other aftershow stories? yes, there wasn't a real fair system to getting in. I got in Friday night and saw the little tiff, about the girl being pregnant and moshed to the front by some chick with a Purple hat... I wasn't in the concert that night, but Saturday night the concert seems short (to what I heard happend on Friday night) and I wasn't about to get into the aftershow... The doorman/bouncer dude was a total butt on Saturday night.People would leave and he wouldn't even let mroe people in the show... I listened outside on the patio and it sounded very similar to what I heard the night before... Moni319
