Before everyone reads too much into 3121.com it is a concert hosted by Al Gore that includes Bon Jovi and other artist.

Its not a tour.

Great. So Prince is on the "global warming created by man" farce. I respect him as an artist to the utmost. But his supporting Al Gore's desperate attempt to be relevant is disappointing.

But don't get me wrong. I do strongly believe we need to be better stewards of the earth and all that God has given us.

PRINCE HINTS AT 'PLANET EARTH' CONCERT
A sure sign that something's up with Prince and his still-unconfirmed departure from the Rio next weekend.

The Purple One's 3121 web site changed on Saturday. It now features a scrambled TV signal with Prince standing over the Globe, with his signature symbol dangling over the world.

The only words: "Planet Earth," before the screen goes blank, and then "Coming Summer 2007." Prince fans are interpreting that to mean the World Planet Earth Concert, in conjunction with Al Gore's campaign for Global warming.

In 1992 I wrote a film script that included Al Gore's Global Warming issue and the song 1999 by Prince. Hard to believe that was 15 years ago.

For instance he is not advertising this one-off gig in San Francisco much earlier. Surely there is going to be activity between now and the 'Live Earth' gigs (and surely Prince would have put 'Live Earth' on his pic at 3121.com if that is what he was promoting? The organisers of Live Earth have themselves confirmed ONLY that they would like Prince to headline - which sounds like they haven't snagged him yet. If they had snagged him, surely they would be promoting the fact by now?).

I personally believe this is promotion for a new album, simple as that.

I think its nothing more than a reference to his new song which will prolly be available for downloading come this summer.
