Could the London shows on the 4th and 5th be cancelled?

Without wanting to worry ticket holders, Ticket master are only advertising for the 3rd. This is the usual procedure when the promoter is unsure if the artist can sell out more nights.

Obviously there is a scramble for tickets at the moment, but thats because we are the die hard fans.

But the high ticket price is going to put A LOT of the general public off.

I asked several of my friends, who have all seen Prince live many times, if they were going to get tickets, and NONE of them wanted to go when I told them the prices (I only told them £40, when it could be £60).

Don't be suprised is the 5th doesn't happen.

Prince might not have the fan base he used to but lets look at the evidence

Fri \ Sat would probably be the most popular nights since no one has work the next day (i.e aftershow).

He's not been here for 4 years, like Madonna he can probably charge what he likes for a small venue and still fill it.

The fans who didnt get presale will be scrambling for normal tickets.

I dont think these shows are gonna be cancelled somehow

You could be right with the Fri/Sat night. Hopefully there is nothing to worry about. But the price will prevent a lot of people going, and he's hoping to sell 12,000 tickets over the 3 nights.

Man, that's not even funny! omfg

Hammersmith Apollo only holds just over 3000 so he is only looking to sell around 7000 tickets over 3 nights. I he can't manage that I'll eat my computer ill

Looks like we're gonna take the long way home 2night... nod

Mr7

Judging by todays demand I think he'll manage it.

Even some members will be ordering through Ticket Master now.

He filled Wembley Arena and Brixton Academy in 1998 and I don't think his popularity level has changed since then.

There will be A LOT of people interested in this show. How many people who post on NPGMUSICCLUB.com do you recognise from here?

According to TM then there is only 1 Manchester show, but according to the artist performing at the event(s) - Prince there will be 3 in London and 2 in Madchester - on this occaision I go with what Prince says.

I'm beginning to think that NPGMC foresaw what would happen here, and have only given the promoters the authority to sell tickets for 3rd.

The reason I think this is that the email I got from the club only gives the option to obtain tickets for the Friday and Saturday performances. So, it seems reasonable to me to assume that Ticketmaster do not have the option to sell tickets for these two dates yet. Is that possible? (I don't know how these things work).

Wrong. Its just listed as a forthcoming event and only provides the first date from their database. This happened with U2 last year and they did 5 shows.
