I noticed the same thing, although I purchased 2 more tickets for general admission on the 31st this morning from the Rio box office. I would suggest you try that....it's less expensive if you can stand the hold time which was almost 30 minutes. 1-888-746-7784

Was this thru TM or the Rio? Dang! I'm sure glad I bought mine last week. Was the page down or saying "Currently Not on Sale?" That's what it says now. Wow.

All it says is "Currently Not on Sale"..says nothing about a price increase...probably a glitch or something. [Edited 3/5/07 17:05pm]

I have heard that some people called the Rio and the reason for ticket sales being down is because they are in the process of raising the ticket price. If this does happen then it may be because there has been an unexpected addition to the show...something special for the last month maybe He gets it! That's why the ladies love him...

Just checked Ticketmaster and prices are listed as $175-250. Wonder how that works? What's included with the $250 ticket?

You mean the $250 option that you can't purchase through Ticketmaster?

You mean the $250 option that you can't purchase through Ticketmaster? The $250 ticket price was listed on the website on the right side, but it isn't an option when you scroll down and make a purchase. So, I'm curious what the price includes. I know the VIP tables and dinners are at least $350. Do you know?

Someone needs to do an intervention. Unless there is something that justifies the price increase, this is not a kind thing to do to your fans. It's like: "the club is ending, let's milk it for all we can now." Lame. So much for "Jehovah." He should start the March shows with "Thieves in the Temple."

I don't think Prince wants to make more money, but I do think he wants to make up for the fact that the Jazz Cuisine was a gamble that didn't pay off well at all.
Plus compared to other legendary acts, he is still charging less than them. Best seat in the house for the Police is $225 and that is only if you get the extra $100 fan club membership. And the Police are about as relevant as Milli Vanilli these days.

I agree with you re: the Police. It's like the Rolling Stones (only slightly worse because of Sting . . . LOL). However, the Police can charge so much because they've been absent as a band for so many years. It's all about marketing. Take something off the market and its value rises considerably. Prince has always been too much -- in every sense, LOL --- for this (hence those nasty fights with his record company, who seemed to base their decisions on Prince releases with said strategy in mind).
Yeah, maybe I was being a little harsh above. There's just no way I can make it back there for these shows and it sucks.
