I went to Vegas for the weekend with about 10 other people (2 had never seen Prince). The dinner b4 the show @ 3121 was very good. I was not impressed with the concert at all! It was nice to hear Girls&Boys, DMSR & Pink Cashmere. But, if I wanted to hear The Hits, I can sit in my car for that! It was a great night with my friends & watching them watch Prince play his guitar. I was really surprised that he did Black Sweat. I jammed out on that one I was just expecting alot better show from him. Especially when we are at his nightclub. I am sorry some of the members didnt feel well, but if you are going to come on stage, you have to suck it up & give 100% for the people that flew out there and paid damn good money for this show. Prince wasnt sick, he could have played a little longer without the band. And, the encore was lame as hell! The chorus to Let's Go Crazy! Are you kidding me? What happened to 3121 or Get On The Boat? I hope the tour is better!

I have to agree 100% with you. We went to the show on Friday night as well and the crowd completely sucked. We actually had a couple next to us that asked us to stop dancing as we were getting in the way of their view. I was like 'Are you kidding me? You're at a club seeing Prince and you expect people to not dance.' The guy actually shoved my girlfriend at one point and that's when I lost it. A bouncer came over and when I told him the story he agreed that we weren't doing anything wrong and told the guy if he didn't like it to stand somewhere else. There were a lot of people in there that hadn't even seen Prince before and didn't know any of his songs except Purple Rain and Let's Go Crazy.

Saturday was much better. We did the dinner and show package. The dinner was amazing. The crowd at the show was much better than Friday but the performance still wasn't what I've come to expect from Prince. I've seen him over 25 times and it seems like he just wasn't really feeling it. I think that has a lot to do with the crowd that shows up in Vegas to see him. You have lots of fair weather fans showing up simply cause he's the hottest ticket in Vegas and they saw him perform at the Superbowl. It was a fun experience to be at 3121 but definitely wasn't even close to being one of his better shows.

So Prince if you're reading this please dump the Vegas gig ASAP. You're way too talented to be playing for people that don't appreciate you except for when you're playing the Purple Rain soundtrack.

I sometimes wish he would go back to not playing Purple Rain at shows. 1995-2004 were some of his best shows! Raw & he didn't care what others wanted to hear - that's when I was taking more friends to show how awesome he is! Prince - you better step it up on tour this summer!
