How 2 get to Londen for the concerts

Is there anyone out there who can tell me what is the best way to get from Holland to Londen?
By boat, by plane, by swimming?

I intend to leave in the morning (saturday) and want to be in Londen in the afternoon.

btw. WHERE IS APOLLO?

The Appollo is in Hammersmith, West London, right by the underground station.

Use http://www.MapBlast.com

Best way of transportation depends on time, budget, etc, etc. I'm also interested myself in this very topic.
Currently I'm thinking about going by train but I cannot see pricing info yet.
Tips are welcome. (you may OrgNote me)

I have booked a flight with RyanAir.
A one-way ticket is 7,99 euro add 55 euro for taxes.

It costs me 98 euro for two persons for a return flight.

Interesting possibility!
Dutch Railways (NS) has an offer on their site for a Euro 87,- ticket from anywhere in the Netherlands to London.
Still have to think. Budgetary constraints, etc.

PS: where exactly did you book that RyanAir ticket?

I think RyanAir only fly to Standstead.

Standstead is quite a way from London.
It takes about an hour (or more) to get into London by taxi and will probably cost you about £40/£50 ! Or there is a train (Standstead Xpress) or a bus that goes to Vicoria Station.

Either way, allow some extra time and money.

The nearest airport to fly to is Heathrow, and you can get the Underground train straight from there to Hammersmith for about £6 (for a travel card). And it'll take only 20 minutes.

Listen up. Ive been flying between A'dam and London for work many times over the past two years or so. There are many cheap flights around. The last time I did it was about three weeks ago and it cost me 56 Euro! That was with British Midland (www.flybmi.com) and that was to Heathrow which is the best option for arriving to London. Then just get the Heathrow express (22 pounds return) and your in London (Paddington) in 15 minutes. Then just get the tube to Hammersmith I guess.

Easyjet (www.easyjet.com) are quite cheap too but they fly to Luton or Gatwick. Gatwick aint so bad but I think its a bit more expensive to fly there.

Ryanair (www.ryanair.com) are cheap too. But that goes to Stansted and its still a fair way to go before you are anywhere near where you wanna be. But not drastic. Maybe take you hour and half/2 hours to get from the airport to the gig.

Also, check out BA too. They sometimes have a bargain thrown in from A'dam to Heathrow.

If you want the cheapest flights then get a flight that is at a more 'anti-social' hour like 6 in the morning. Thats where you get the bargains. Get a Saturday lunchtime and it will be disproportionately more expensive.

I did the train a couple of times, but it doesnt work out that cheap and it takes a good 5 hours or so. 2 and a half hours just to Brussels. Then the Eurostar for another three hours. (and that doesnt include time for delays once on the tracks of our great British railway network!).

No offence James but Stanstead is not so bad. Stanstead express (train) is only about 12 quid to Liverpool street station then Hammersmith and City line to ...Hammersmith and the Appollo for about 4-6 quid. Stanstead has the advantage of the cheap airlines (Ryan air and GO) that can really bring down the price. Don't rule out any of the London airports if you can get a good flight deal, can be a bit pricy but all are very well conected.

I would be more concerned with where you are going to stay!!

Well, I'm not gonna stay anywhere. If there is an aftershow/party, that's where I'll be all night, and if there's not, I will go intop Londen night-life...First time in Londen, so I will not sleep.
