I know that many others have mentioned this tribute band in their threads, but I just HAVE to put in a special plug for Purple Reign!!


This band is simply amazing!!! And the price of admission to their show at the House of Blues was cheaper than my glass of wine at 3121! ($10). It's sweet because they have both a Prince impersonator AND a Morris Day impersonator and both of these fine gentlemen have the moves, the facial expressions and the nuances DOWN! Their band is a great group of musicians.

For those of you heading to 3121 this month, you should make their show a stop in your tour of Vegas. Two nights of the man himself and Purple Reign to top it off is a must for every Prince fan. The band plays at the Monte Carlo on Wednesdays, Santa Fe Station on Fridays and Saturdays and the House of Blues on Sundays. All shows at 10 pm.

yes, to all said above! I would add, the Monte Carlo show is FREE- at 10 and Midnight.
I will say though, I saw them my first night in Vegas and it was a great way to kick-start my trip. I don't know if I would've been as amazed by them once I saw the real thing 2 nights. That being said- well worth seeing one way or the other. Girls- don't miss this if you get to Vegas! Jason (Prince) is sooooo cute, the pic on their webite does NOT do him justice. I hung around after till he came out in his street clothes and he was even cuter out of "prince" gear. Very nice also, I went up to say "great show" and he was talking away to what appeared to be a friend or local, anyway- when he saw me approaching, he made a point to stop that conversation in order to shake my hand- hear what I had to say, and then he kissed my hand in a Princely fashion! very cute!!!

Yeah they were playing at Circus Circus when I was in Vegas about 3-4 years ago. I have pictures with Jason and his beautiful dancers, Diamond and Pearl.

They were charging $5 for a Polaroid picture but Jason let us use our own camera and take all the pics we wanted. People actually thought it was Prince until they realized he was taller than me.

Does anyone know if they play anywhere on Thursdays and Fridays? I would love to see them!

yeah, friday night at santa fe station, a little casino off the strip. enjoy, u can't go wrong with them!

I used to catch them when they were playing regularly at that Casino with the big clown and ferris wheel. The last time that I went to Vegas, I was hearbroken to find the Casino being torn down. It's good to know that they are still around. Great band, good cheap fun. One of my favorite most inexpensive things to do in Vegas.
