UK TOUR DATES ON TICKETMASTER UK SITE

I know cross posting is frowned upon,is cross dressing allowed wink but I think this is kinda exciting news smile

TICKETMASTER UK LISTS PRINCE TOUR DATES!!!

I just checked ticketmaster's UK site and they list some Prince concerts and the onsale dates too

The dates they list are October 3rd London Hammersmith Apollo and October 7th Manchester Apollo

They list London prices as Limited Premium, which I assume means NPGMC members, at £65 and Reserved seating £50 and £40

Prices for Manchester are Limited Premium £60 and Reserved seating at £45 and £35.

ONSALE DATE IS SEPTEMBER 16TH.

Thanks!

Hmmm... About 100 Euro according to www.xe.com/ucc.
Almost what we feared.

But at least better news if this actually happens.

£65?! So being a member of NPGMC gets you front seats but you have to pay £65 for the honour. Thanks Prince!

Just checked the venue capacity for Manchester Apollo.

Fully seated format:Capacity: 2693.Standing format:Capacity: 3500 (2514 standing; 986 seats).

I hope it's all seats.

London Hammersmith Apollo seating capacity is 3719

So these shows are in similar size venues to the ONA gigs in America/Canada

I take back my £65 ticket moan. Having seen the show at Xenophobia I'm sure it's going to be worth every penny.

How much is that in US dollars? I can never figure it out... It was at least $100 here and I thought it was a little expensive.

I just sent this in as news, but I'm too exited, so I thought I'd share it here too.
This was sent to me by a friend who works for Dot Music...

My big question is, if he plays 2 nights in London, will I go twice if he's charging £65 a go !?

I think I'll just go once...then regret it !! sad

Hopefully us patient NPGMC member will be rewarded with slightly cheaper prices !?

1. £65 is a bloody great lorry load of cash for a show (i know U2 and Madonna charged similar amounts, but they are still big news).

2. how come ticketmaster is carrying details of these shows while the club remains silent?

3. any idea where the aftershow will be?

4. what is the danger of the club allocation selling out before we have all dug so deep in our pockets?

The price should not be determined by who is "still big news" but by the quality of the show provided. And by all accounts, even the bitterist naysayer, the One Nite Alone show is worth every penny.

2. how come ticketmaster is carrying details of these shows while the club remains silent?

Actually the presale info for these dates have been posted in the NPGMC members concert section. And the emails have started to go out (in alphabetical order of user name... yeah their broadcast email thing is kinda whack).

3. any idea where the aftershow will be?

If it's done like the US dates, the afterPARTY will more than likely be announced the night of the show during the soundcheck or immediately after the concert. While it is likely that he would do an afterSHOW please keep in mind that you are only guaranteed an afterPARTY if there's one.

4. what is the danger of the club allocation selling out before we have all dug so deep in our pockets?

That happened in New York (first 15 rows), and they added a few more rows to make it 17 total rows for about 300 ppl at the soundcheck. Best bet is to buy the passes as soon as they go on sale, because they are not guaranteed to every member... only guaranteed on a first-come first-served basis during the presale period. Generally it's 15 rows or the deadline, whichever comes first.
