Rio Tickets - how does it work as far as pick up Bought my tickets the other day from the RIO. But how does it work as far as getting in line and getting in first so you can be close to the stage? The RIO told me they don't give tickets out until 8:30 or after so do u have to get out of line and hope to have your same place? Are wristbands given out so u can get back into line after you get your tickets? VIP's are let in first or everyone at the same time? VIP's are tables right? For the aftershow I presume you get there early so you can get a wristband for the room with the live music? Any info will help. Also looking to hook up with orgers. Going alone from East Coast. Peace!

I will be at the show this Saturday, and I am also wondering how this works.
Any information is welcome. Especially, though, is it OK to wander in around 10:30 and pick up the tickets?

The line you'll wait in at the club is where you get your tickets. If you want the aftershow tickets, you'll have to leave the main show and get in line over at the restaurant. They have a couple of ropes that separate the lines, one for VIP (invited guests and dinner package) and one for GA. You get your wristband as you go into the show. [Edited 1/16/07 12:57pm]

Nothing with Prince is ever easy. Don't stress the lines and show up around 11 or 11:30. There really isn't a bad spot in the house. As for afterparty tickets....if you want them one of your group is going to have to leave the show very early. We skipped the aftershow and showed up late and it was a stress free and fun evening. I think the people who wait in line 14 hours for a spot up front and then leave the show an hour early just to see another show are just working themselves into a frenzy for nothing.

U need to collect tickets from about 8pm or so....we tried to collect our tickets the day before but they wouldnt let us have them (this doesnt make sense to me as it would reduce the potential queue the night of the show)there is no need to queue all day..we arrived at 11pm and got our tickets straight away. The crowd is laid back enough so we still managed to get second row....if u slide in from the side it's easier to get up from than pushing from the back...
ENJOY....I STILL CANT BELIEVE I WAS THERE WITH PRINCE PLAYING RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME...A COMBINATION OF THAT , A FEW BACARDIS, LACK OF SLEEP AND FLU TABLETS I WAS ON MADE IT AN UNFORGETTABLE NIGHT..... KEN, DUBLIN, IRELAND

i'm pretty sure they release them around 8pm to reduce the scalping but so far there have been very few scalpers

When I went I got there around 8:00pm and was told to get in line and that they would pass out tickets in line. So while we waited in line Rio staff came to each person in line asked for ID and went to look for your tickets and then came back to you and gave you your tickets. This way you don't loose your place in line, not sure though if this is how it is still being done. Rhythm floods my heart♥The melody it feeds my soul
