I was able to buy tickets for the Jan 27th show from the blink and you'll miss it on-sale that took place on ticketmaster on Dec 22nd. Ever since then, I've been watching and waiting for this to become official again.

First, the Jan 5th and 6th shows got cancelled, but then Jan 12th and 13th are confirmed. I hope that everything is back on track and he'll play the rest of January. I could see the first weekend in February getting axed due to him being in Miami for the Super Bowl.

I still can't believe that after two months at 3121 no one knows what P's plans are any more than a week in advance. Does anyone at the Rio bother to ask him when he's there over New Year's what the plan may be for the upcoming month. Rio doesn't know what's up, ticketmaster has the dates listed but no on sale currently, the twinz and band members are clueless as well as to what the plans are.

I'm gonna stay positive that it will happen and everything will fall into place in the next week, but the stress is amazing waiting for the news to come down.

Tickets were available on ticketmaster for a short time on Friday, Dec 22nd. I believe ticketmaster jumped the gun and several of us bought tix for the January shows during that time. They were pulled off later that night.

Tix went back on sale last Friday for Jan 12th & 13th, so it seems as if Friday is when they tend to go on sale. I hope something hits this Friday and they start selling all of the January shows at once.

i bet they want to see what sales will be like for this weekend....then based on that they will release future dates.....or not

This lack of planning and confusion is leading me to believe that they are putting these tickets on sale and based on how the sales are he decides if he's going to perform or not. It doesn't make financial sense not to give people ample time to plan but it's looking, to me, like a possibility IMHO.

Also, the fact that none of the NYE weekend shows were NOT sold out makes all of this seem suspect to me. In addition, I met some folks who attended two or three of the NYE weekend shows who told me that the RIO was giving away tickets for Friday and Saturday due to the low turnout AND if you were staying at the RIO they offered to refund half the price of the ticket to people who'd already paid for their tickets due to the low sales. This seemed odd to me but three people told me that they were refunded half of their ticket price on Friday AND Saturday. All this seems so wacky to me but I'll be trying, like a fool, to go to another show.

At this point, it's either he expects us to trust that he'll be there- as the dates are posted on Ticketmaster, or as many have said- he just doesn't give a shit about us. I basically believe he is just totally clueless as to what it takes for an average person to book/plan a trip to Vegas. It reminds me of the Kevin Smith DVD where he tells the story of Prince asking him to come and film the Celebrations. At one point, KS has a conversation with an assistant who tries to explain to him that Prince just doesn't live in the same world as the rest of us. Asst. using the example of how Prince decides he wants a camel and it's winter in Mn. and he just can't understand why he just can't have a camel right now. It's sooooo funny to hear Kevin Smith tell the story but for us, in cases like this, his lack of basic respect/understanding for others (and normal life in general)can get awfully tiresome and frustrating. Anyway, I think I'm going to bite the bullet tomorrow and book a trip for next week. My friends are going to back out on me otherwise. Please, Please, let those dates go on sale this week!!!!!

I love Kevin Smith too!!! (just saw Clerks 2 recently ) and, yes, its obvious he's a big fan. I felt bad for him too, he was hurt I think. But he got his by telling that whole story!!!!
