We'll be going to see Love on Sunday night and will be staying at the Rio. In order to limit exposure to the freezing cold, I was thinking about taking the Monorail. I guess from the Rio you have to take a shuttle somewhere else, does anyone know where that is or have an opinion about the Monorail? Would it be easier to cab it?

Just a warning about when taking a cab from the Rio: You have to line up at the side of the hotel and wait for a cab to pull up and the attendant to "put" you in it. I've noticed that there can be a bit of a wait at the Rio anytime I've been there, much more so than any other hotel I've been to. On New Year's Eve, it took about 30-40 minutes in a chilly wind at 5:30 am. So, take a coat this weekend!

We took one out of there during the day on 11/26, didn't have to wait but it was windy and cold that day too, it was a long walk to the cab stand! I just got my gloves out and de-linted my full length wool coat...ugh. It's a pain in the ass to haul around cuz it's so heavy, but if I don't take it, I know I'll wish I had. I took my other jacket in November and it wasn't warm enough.
