wednesdays at 3121 im new here (prince.org), and im a local (in vegas). it's already given that im a prince fan or else i wouldnt even post here. with all those said..
does anyone know the line up for this month's wednesday musical guests at club 3121? last month, there's a link for the december list: http://www.ncrpmreports.c...10002&mv=3 but i cant seem to find any information for january. i read (here) that legendary WAR is performing on the 27th. definitely will be there. when 3121 site first announced the club 3121, the website showed slide shows of artist that will be performing on wednesdays such as chaka khan, shiela e, roots, cee lo, etc. anyways, does anybody have any info on this? thanks. | |

Ticketmaster: http://www.ticketmaster.com/ In the search section enter 3121 all concerts including Wednesday,Friday and Saturday will be listed. OR Call 3121 at The Rio for information and tickets. I will tell you that The Rio will not have any more information than what is already confirmed and listed at Ticketmaster. I had inquired about a Wed show for Dec 6 after Corine Bailey Rae had cancelled and they weren't sure if anyone was going to perform. They told me to call that day (Wed Dec 6) for the latest information. One employee told me we don't know until Prince knows.  Patience is the name of this game!
All I can say is wow I would also catch the concerts if I lived in Vegas! Shoot, Vegas is a playground for adults. Come to think about it I only saw a few children around Vegas the entire time I was there. One place they were all at was Circus Circus. i just got back from 3121, and i must say, it was off the hook! even before doug e fresh started his set, people were getting down on the dance floor bustin their oldskool move (early 90s), running man, electric slide, what have you, as the dj spins from poison by bel biv devoe, to some james brown tunes.
his intro definitely set the mood for what's ahead - "engine engine number nine, on the new york transit line...", etc..you get the gist? people bumrushed the stage, and it was on! a definite ode to the early hip hop era. lotsa crowd participation, rhymin and beat boxin. exhausting! i glance over the "couch" and there's prince sitting wearing black hoodie. i was too preoccupied bustin my whop to pay too much attention to him, but it's a great feeling that he's there witnessing the crowd. so he's in town for sure. i dont know the reason for the weekend gig cancelation, but he's here (in vegas). i cant wait for next wednesday. im hoping it's going to be sheila e. | |

The ticket fiasco is just fustrating for everyone,but more so to those that it has a direct affect on. Something went wrong that's for sure,because this is NOT something that usually happens with a Prince performance. i belive rashida only spins for prince. on wednesdays, it's a different girl, still as great nonetheless. | |
