was most people there 10 hours early? Even for vip seats?

Girl, I thought about you all day Sunday (especially when I saw that there were 90-minute flight delays out of O'Hare that morning). I'm so glad it was all you hoped -- and incredibly envious that I wasn't there with all of you. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

For VIP seating, it is first come, first served. We pretty much could pick where we wanted to sit aside from the tables P had reserved. Every table had an excellent view of the stage.

Fortunately, my flgiht wasn't delayed at all and the one back was early.

Forgive me if my brain is a little foggy but last night's setlist consisted of: 3121 Girls and Boys Purple Rain (I can't stand this song but this version almost made me cry) If I Was Your Girlfriend Shhh Gotta Broken Heart Again Joy In Repetition Pass The Peas Musicology (sounded wonderful!!!!) Lolita Black Sweat New Prince protege Shelby doing Love Changes and Never Loved A Man (The Way That I Loved You) Medley of Partyman/What Have You Done For Me Lately Someone else can fill everyone in on the aftershow. At that point, it was all a blur. I may be missing something but I am running on 6 hours of sleep in two days. I was fortunate enough to see both of the Vegas shows this past May. I enjoyed last night's show way more than both of them. 3121 sounded great to me. Everything just sounded better like there has been the opportunity to flesh out the songs more. Cora kicked major ass during Shhh. The best thing about Prince music is the feeling it gives you that everything is gonna be alright. There is only one word to describe how I felt last night and that is JOY. Prince's playing during Puprle Rain, JIR and during the aftershow was superb. Not only that, but I had the opportunity to spend some quality time with members of my NPGMC and Org families. The fact that Prince has brought some many people together is a testament to the power of his music. Everyone should try to get to 3121. It was worth every penny. thanks for the report Stymie! i really wanted to go to this show, but already had reservations to spend new years with my family.

According to this article (linked from 3121.com),Prince did a cover of Joni Mitchell's "A Case of You" at around 2am. Was that while folks were waiting to get into the afterparty? Did you see it? That is news to me.

He did it the night before but the only way he did that Sunday night is if the band came back for a second encore.http://www.reviewjournal....43345.html

We still don't know who this person referenced in the recent (Dec. 22nd) press release announcing Prince's plans for a 3121 print magazine is: http://biz.yahoo.com/prne...html?.v=75 Currently on location shooting publicity shots for a new singer he is working with, Prince will be back in Vegas to ring in the new year at 3121.

Actually, I dug 3121 the most. Actually, I was kinda disappointed by JIR, the guitar-playing on Purple Rain & Shh impressed me the most on that night! (besides the aftershow ofcourse!)
