Anyone know the procedure.....right now they don't even know when their tickets will be on sale? Ticketmaster starts at 12pm so what happens with the RIO?? (I want VIP tix)

You have to get the VIP tickets through Rio. You can find the number on the 3121 site.

Everyone, take a deep breath. The poor folks at the Rio are the last to know
about these shows. For some reason, TM has gotten the listings before Rio has...
and the VIP tables/packages don't sell out on the first day the tix are available.
(in fact, there are still tickets and VIP tables left for the NYE shows...I know
the price is a factor, but still - its NYE in Vega$)
If you can wait another day or two, its better to buy directly from th Rio since
they only charge a fraction of what TM charges in convenience fees, handling fees, etc...
You can only p/u tix @ the Rio no matter where you buy them...might as well buy
direct from Rio and save yourself some money...and don't contribute to TicketRaper's insane gouging.

My husband and I were there a couple of weeks ago to see Prince (phenomenal show)and had a blast! In addition, I made ALL my plans through The Rio. Making reservations could not have been any easier! Skip TM.

Hope your Prince experience is as good as ours. Happy New Year!!!!

Sorry if this question has been asked before (which it probably has)--

I know the Jan tickets are a little messed up right now, but in theory once they go (back) on sale can one buy regular/GA tickets through the Rio, or does the Rio only deal with VIP tickets?

You CAN purchase regular GA tickets as well as VIP tickets thru The Rio. I bought my GA tickets thru The Rio and it was a very pleasant experience. They took a lot of time and answered my many questions and provided me with excellent information. Definitely buy ALL your tickets thru The Rio as you will save a lot on the service charge. I think I paid something like $3.50 per ticket for the service charge. I saved a lot of money buying four tickets thru them.

thumbs up! Thanks for the info.

they mistakingly went onsale too early on Saturday and some (including myself) were able to buy. Then tix were pulled because they weren't supposed to be onsale until after the NYE show.
