I saw Prince Last Night at 3121 I attended the show last night (or rather, this morning).
If you are interested in my personal opinion of the show, I threw up a quick and dirty review at: http://www.vegasrex.com/2...aw_prince/ I haven't slept since (I have been up for about 37 hours straight), so it may not be coherent, but it is what it is ....

thanks for the review....the start time is normal.....since 12:31 is 3121
and it is too bad people don't dance to Rashida anymore.....what's up with that? opening weekend we had Soul Train type dancing going on....it was great....and then the show started and it got even better.... [Edited 12/9/06 17:25pm]

Great Review.
Fortunately, I was not around any of the whiners since I was against the stage and interacted with the man all night. My highlight, when he played "Forever in My Life." And that blues version of the first verse of "Partyman" was genius. I liked the jam session in the Jazz Cafe from 4a.m. - 5a.m. It reminded me when Prince would play the Erotic City Room at the Old Glam Slam Mpls, just music and no singing. Prince walked by my table while was was eating some creole shrimp and I said, "Thank you for a great concert." He turned smiled and waved to me. I guess he was happy one person was happy. Then again he knows his Chicago fan base travels around the world to see him.

I saw Prince last night too! Hi everyone, I'm new to the site and have been a Prince fan for a very very long time. He brought tears to my eyes when he sang Case of You, and he tore up Anotherloverholeinyohead....I was right at the stage and so close to him I could touch him, but I didn't, just screamed and sang my heart out! What I couldn't believe was how many people just literally stand there like bumps on a log! I mean Prince is playing right in front of you and there were people there just standing with their arms crossed, I just don't think they are true Prince fans, and I'm sure he gets annoyed at that...the same thing pre-show with DJ Rashida, I mean she was jammin with the some good old school songs and most people just stand around, I don't understand how people weren't dancing, or at least moving to the beat. Besides that, it was probably the most incredible night of my life...although I wish he would have sang Power Fantastic and played Alexa de Paris, but I guess we all have our favorites! I literally couldn't sleep at all because I was on a high.

This sounds like a "Supporter" not like a "Fan(atic)" THANK YOU , "YYM" [Edited 12/10/06 3:54am] "You can go Fly ya Mama's Kite" (c) Prince

The show was awesome. Highlights for me was Anotherlover, I like it there, Joy in Repetition and Shh. Amazing Guitar. Also loved A Case of U and "Crazy". Im sure there were people there that went for his hits a guy in line was asking me about Prince shows and i thought to myself "Prince may not do alot of hits". I love the hits of course but i am very familiar with his music so i really enjoyed the show. One of the best! Peace and Love!

I loved reading this review! Especially the part about Prince bringing the 60 year old heavy woman on stage and she started cabbage patchin' to Pass the Peas And sprayin' perfume on the audience? Hmmmm . . . hope it isn't his old perfume that he used to sell, that stuff stinks
