Well it is the holidays and this would be the time for the band to fly home to family then come back after Christmas.

I too am thinking that Prince is going to be performing the weekend of December 29. Check the room availability at the Rio for that weekend...SOLD OUT. Another interesting point is that the booking calendar displays the room rates for future dates. Interesting is that room rates skyrocket during midweek December 16-23 which led me to believe that something's up. The Rio is also advertising New Year's Eve party packages at the Vodoo Lounge. I know this is not associated with Prince, but I'm thinking that he will perform that weekend and maybe have a New Year's bash at 3121 and just isn't posting it to keeb down the fury.

vegas sells out way in advance for n.y.eve.....so i would say get your rooms now while you can.....but then again no dates have been announced.....go figure

I called the Rio myself today and was told the same thing. The next two weekends he is NOT playing and it is only SPECULATED he will play the last weekend in Dec. A couple I know planned to go next weekend. Needless to say they are pissed. They booked a suite at the Rio too. I guess they are still going MINUS Prince though which sucks by the way. I will wait until the next set of shows are released. If there are no more show, so be it.
