Anyone going to the Dec. 8 show at 3121?

I'll be there looking overwhelmed because I haven't been to Vegas and so excited because I haven't seen Prince (in the spotlight) since 2004.

Who's with me?

Also, on a side note, anyone know if you can do bottle service at 3121 without getting the VIP package with dinner and stuff? How much does a bottle run - $200???

Hi everyone! I'm new to this site, and glad to be here!

I will be at the show on December 8th, and I can't wait!

With regard to the bottle service without the VIP package, from what I understand, you can purchase VIP seating in the club (with bottle service) for $375. Since that's only $75 less per couple than the full package, you may want to consider going all out. As for me, I couldn't resist - I did the VIP package. I've been a fan for 22 of my 30 years, and have never been able to see him in concert for one reason or another. Who cares about the cost when you're talking about Prince!

Guess I'll be groovin' in the back of the club with the non VIP'ers then cuz I already bought my regular member tickets without the additions. All I want is room to dance and a decent vantage point.
I'll get enough alcohol and nicotine before and after!

Hey,that's an issue I've heard conflicting reports about. Does anyone know if the club is smoking allowed, or non-smoking?

Also, the $375 for the VIP table only doesn't include tickets, so if you decide later to just do the VIP table, I think you can call the Rio at any time and purchase that.

Good to know - I'll give them a call wink

About the smoking thing, I'd trust ...kidwell - he's been to 3121 and mentions that it is no smoking and it is the best smelling club etc. It's somewhere in this forum

Good to know. Thanks. It seems like you can get more information here than you can from the Rio! lol

Opening weekend smoking was allowed. But this past Friday I asked for a pack of matches at the bar and they acted as if I was nuts. But you will inhale plenty of casino smoke while waiting in line outside if you decide to go that route. I must say that the lack of restrooms and the new no-smoking policy adds to the 3121 vibe. The high cost of drinks also cuts down on the drunk Vegas loser crowd looking to crash the party. 5 shows so far and I've only seen one guy get thrown out for being drunk and rowdy. Prince is in total control so enjoy the ride. I hope to go back on the 16th.

I'm glad they enforced the no smoking policy, makes the place smell better with the incense burning all around the club. Also, no restrooms inside the club deters some bad elements (drug users) from using the restroom as a place to sneak and take care of their habit. No restrooms in the club may be an inconvenience, but to the person in control of the club (yes that would be Prince) it helps to keep drug activity and other types of unruly behavior from taking place inside his club, if he could avoid that from happening at all.

WAIT A MINUTE!!!! Did I just read there is no smoking and no restrooms in the club??? So where do you go when you have to- Go?? and what's with the no-smoking crap, this is Vegas for God's Sake! Is it easy enough to get outside and then back in? So... I'm going to pay $700 for dinner and a show but have to spend half the night looking for an outside restroom and finding a place to smoke? Obviously, if you're there for dinner, doors to the club open at 10 and he's not on till after midnight- most people will need a few trips.

Smoking is allowed on the casino floor. If you need to smoke, you can just go right outside the club in the casino area and do it. The restrooms are just opposite the club 3121, it is not far at all, just across from the club. One on your left and one on the right. The one on the right is very close, just across from the club, near the courtesy desk where you sign up for casino reward cards. When you pay for dinner you are eating in the restaurant that's not the club. The club is altogether separate. It wasn't a problem because when you enter the club you have on a wristband. so you could go in and out of the club as many times as you need to as long as you have the wristband on. At a major arena, you would still have to walk out of the actual concert area, and search for a restroom which always have long lines. The good thing is, there's never a long line. If it was inside the club, you can bet there would be a long line, you'll be ok.

Thanks for the info. Which brings me to another question....is it worth getting the whole dinner package? I didn't realize the restaurant was completely separate. Does buying the dinner package get you a better table in the club? How does that work out...moving from dinner to the club? And was I correct in believing that if you buy the VIP pkg you get table service at the club also?

I didn't purchase the dinner package. the dinner portion is up to you. The restaurant is not far from the club in the casino. You need to call the Rio to find out the price for all that you want to purchase.

You eat dinner in the restaurant, not in the club. The table with the bottle (if you purchased it) you will get that once you're seated in the club,

You do have to wait on line at Club 3121 to get into the show and they will give you a specific wristband to enter the club, depending on what you purchased (i.e, VIP seating, whether you took the dinner package or paid for just a table with a bottle and/or tickets for the show, GA admission, club member)

There's quite a few threads here by fans who bought the dinner package, maybe one of them will see your post and give you all the info.

Arrrr I remember the good old days when you simply used to buy a ticket over the phone... they'd arrive in the post... you'd queue to get in... go in, take to your seat ready to stand and get funky when the guy arrives. you could smoke, drink and be happy. There were no deals, no VIP areas to get more money out of you. No presales - just plenty of dates so everyone got to enjoy the magic. It was all about the gig rather than the aftershow, there was no pretence, just the music. I've seen the guy 12 times and bar the overcrowding at Wembely Stadium one time, every time has been a peach.

Just seems to much money and to much hassle to see him now. bring back the simple gigs...

This situation is unique, in that prince is "almost" on a schedule. Much like the P Park concerts back in the day. I'm imagining there would be some serious life adjustments to accomodate this scenario? Aren't you broke and consumed with being there?
