ANY Performer after JDavey is gonna sound GOOD.....
sorry..but I was very disappointed last wednesday nite...however Goapele sounded like a TRUE singer...she was quite the lady

J-Davey is one of those bands that is hard to put into a category. Sort of like Prince in a way. I either see really good things for them in the future or not so good things. They must have been scared shitless tonight opening for Prince though. Imagine doing that on such short notice and playing for a crowd that expected Prince to come out when they did. Plus nobody really knows them or any of their songs. But the did a great job and totally act as if they have been together for ten years.

Know what you mean...it seems to be new for some West Coasters, but J*Davey is known on the East Coast (especially NYC). Their music is well received here and they have a large following. They have been around for a while, and Prince has been one of their influences. I guess it just takes a while for people to be open to different forms of music. I do believe J*Davey will be just fine.
