Found some 3121 Concert Reviews for Dec 1st show at another site...

Ok, so I didn't see any reviews from any orgers here. So I was viewing HQ and since I don't have an account there to respond to the reviews,I copied and pasted what I found over there on here..so if anyone is interested here's a few reviews below. The reviews are from Vc61 (info from Schkopi.com), Meow3121 and Veeds from HQ,

"Well, it was hot last night, this club is very top notch club. For the amount of money fans pay, this is high class service. Prince jumped on the base for a while, jamed on keys for a bit. That was awsome! I got there around 8:30pm when they handed out tickets, when i got inn i went right up to my friends up front. Not many people were there like I perdicted! People sitting on the floor, didn't expect that.

Prince kept going on the side of the stage into the crowd alot, he faced the stage at one point by me. HAHA prince was in the crowd like a regular fan, that was funny to me.
He says "Don't you feel sorry for everyone at the crap tables?" HAHA classic prince. He didn't play "johnny be good" (I love that jam). He played this 1 rock song which rocked ass! He brought people up to the stage. He was in a jazzy mood this night, i thought. Maceo, renato on keys, mr.hays. One segment of the show, his dancer did this chair dance (never saw that before from last shows). He went into this rant, i was drunk so im not really remembering it lol. He says "Do you believe in reiencarnation?" (i shouted yaaaa!)

Ok theres no reviews in this thread, heres what i remember, if anyone can add to this thanks cuz i forgot that other rock jam:

3121
Get on the boat
Lolita
Black sweat
Musicology
7
Joy & Repetition
Pass the peas (Maceo)
Ray charles (what a beautiful world slow jam w/renato)
Anotherloverholenyohead (Parade)
Kiss
Shuuu
Case of you
Forever in my life

Some rock jam?
Roller Coaster of love (short jam)
Purple Rain
Lets go crazy
If I was ur girlfriend (he says on this part "this is somethin every girl should know")"

Another review from HQ posted by "Veeds":

"The first set list looks right to me (from memory). It's a Wonderful World was played - just an instrumental - Renato and Maceo. A Case of U was just Renato with Prince singing - very good.

I was over from the UK and I was impressed - the venue is a nice size and he's very comfortable playing there - lots of messing about and crowd interaction. A lot of people up on stage at various points - a larger boned girl had centre stage for quite a while and a bloke who was very drunk prompting Prince to say 'the bar is now closed' to my amusement. He came out into the audience a few times around the top ring of tables. He shook hands with this girl and then went back to her, took his ring off and just as she was about to take it said 'psyche' and walked off. He also re-used the 'not bad....for a girl' line during the drum breakdown on Shhh.

The opening with 3121 was superb - a long funk jam. He came on stage at just after 12:15 and finished at 2:40ish. I thought it was over after Purple Rain but he came out quite quickly and said 'if we play one more will you come back tomorrow'. When everyone said yes he said 'that's what they all say' and went into a mainly instrumental Lets Go Crazy.

Who was the guy who got up to sing 'Play That Funky Music'?

It was great to see Renato back and he gave it much more of an ONA aftershow feel I thought. I saw he was there as I bumped into him having a cigarette outside the club when I went to the toilet before it started and I ended up standing right next to him when he came on to the floor during the first few numbers. Prince called for him during Play That Funky Music or Pass The Peas I think and he was up there for most of the numbers from then on.

Prince played quite a lot of bass over the start of Forever In My Life and played on Morris' keyboards quite a lot as well but he mainly tore up the guitar - Shhh, Joy in Repetition, Anotherlover, Purple Rain being the highlights in that department.

Anyway, there's some memories - a top night and if you can get there enjoy it."

Wow..nice setlist, and nice reviews. So he played "A Case of You"..and a cover of "Rollercoaster of love"..fantastic. Looks like Prince is having a lot of fun performing in Vegas and connecting with his fans at these shows...now if he could only bring the 3121 Club to Atlantic City, NJ.....he could call it 3121 Club Atlantic..would be a nice-->deal.whistle..oh and open a 3121 Jazz Cuisine here too Prince..'kay? biggrin..we need some of that purple high out on the East Coast..(just dreaming.biggrin)

Just to add a bit since I'm at the airport going home to Dallas:

For those fans who wanted to hear Prince shred on guitar, Dec. 1st was your night. I'll be brief since I'm really not up to type much right now.

The rock song P played ( never heard it before) kicked some major ass... At one point early in the jam, I looked around the club, saw not many moving at all (no surprise there) because they all had that eek look in their eyes.

The crowd --> eek eek eek headbang eek eek headbang

Me --> headbang+eek (in VIP standing while others behind me sat the whole concert)

I'm sure the thoughts of some I saw were "I didn't come to hear this kind of music", "what album is THIS shit on!" lol, and whatever, but I would love to hear the thoughts of those who really wanted to hear him tear it up like that. Most were truly in awe. I've been to a few shows, have many boots, but have never heard anything remotely like it. If there was a recording of this show in existence, I would eat a pot of chit'lins to have one.

Okay, enough for now,...need to grab that seat on the flight...

uptown1

Just returned to Chicago from Las Vegas and attendance at both of Prince’s shows at Club 3121 at the Rio. I have seen Prince live 57 times and I must say these performances are well worth the expense and effort to attend, even with the weather problems over the past few days and the travel difficulties. Here are the setlists for the two shows (I wrote them down as he played so it should be accurate) with some random comments at the end:

12/1/2006 Club 3121, Rio Suites (Las Vegas, NV)

3121
Get On The Boat (incl. a bit of “Love Rollercoaster”)
Lolita
Black Sweat
Kiss
Shhh
Musicology/Tighten Up/Play That Funky Music White Boy/Pass The Peas
Joy In Repetition
Forever In My Life (incl. a bit of “777-9311” by Prince on bass)
7
Anotherlover/Rock Lobster
If I Was Your Girlfriend
Pink Cashmere (incl. a bit of “Do Me, Baby”)

ENCORE #1
What A Wonderful World (Renato/Maceo)
A Case of You (Prince and Renato only)
Purple Rain (short version)

ENCORE #2
Let’s Go Crazy

*Show began at 12:25 a.m. after the UK HOF induction was played and lasted until 2:35 a.m.
*Prince wore a grey suit with black shirt for the main set, changing into a light pink outfit with gold “bangles” on the collar and sleeves for the encores
*Renato Neto joined the band during the Old School “Musicology” jam. “Play That Funky Music White Boy” was sung by a guy from the audience who knew all of the words and even through in some “3121” references to Prince’s delight. P had a huge grin on his face during this entire portion of the show, wandered all over the club, and invited many people onstage to dance throughout
*Prince did a nice bass solo over the intro beat to “Forever In My Life”
*About a minute into “If I Was Your Girlfriend” Prince stopped the band, told us we weren’t ready for it, then walked off the stage with the whole band for about 5 minutes before returning and resuming the song
*A couple was invited onstage during “Pink Cashmere to slow dance while Prince serenaded them.
*”Purple Rain” was the abbreviated version of the song
*All in all, a fantastic show and I wasn’t sure if Prince could surpass himself…by was I in for a surprise!!! 
