Ok people's here it is.....

Saturday was a long day for me. I left home about 7 to get my friend (actually a friend of my brother). I pick him up and he tells me "sorry ma I can't drive a stick" . I thought driving a stick was a guy thing . Let me tell ya something that pissed my off and I was 1 bitter chick for the 1st part of my long drive, but it turned out to be a ok ride. I finally make to Vegas and I see this big billboard of our Prince ~ Wooo Woot. I would have taken a picture but I didn't want to get my car smashed into. I get to my hotel and find out that they had a water pipe burst and they had to shut off the water. I was told that they MIGHT HAVE THE WATER BACK ON IN 4 HRS. Are they FLIPPING kidding me? Well that wasn't going to do, so I called my booking agent and they were able to find me a new hotel. They were able to do so but I ended up about 20 miles away from the strip. However if anything would have happened in the world I would have been the 1st to know because I was across the street from Nellis Airforce Base I got to my hotel and rested up for a lil bit. Remember I've been on the road for a while (9hrs). I was fresh dress and looking mighty mighty good. Why I didn't get my picture taken I just don't know

Now the good stuff.....

I got there about 9:30 and picked up my ticket. I don't know if they were letting members in first because of the time that I got there. The place wasn't crowded yet. The club is a good size without feeling cramped. The VIP tables were in a semi-circle around the club. The dj was spinning some classic Prince along with alot of other artist. There were 12 screens. They were showing Graffiti Bridge, UTCM, a dance collage and Black Orfeum (sp?).

And now ladies and gentlemen....

Up on the screens was Prince induction to The Uk Hall of Fame. He came out to the music of 3121 wearing a beautiful peacock blue suite trimed in black. Now I won't get much into the setlist because it has alreay been stated. I'm just gonna give you the highlights for me but I will let tell you that he didn't do Controversy that was renamed to Spiritality. He did a rocking version of Anotherlover that was off the hook. Man I wish that was recorded released because it is hot like FIRE. I had a almost cried when he went into Pink Cashmere. I've always loved this song and to hear it live is a expirence that everyone should have. Forever In My Life and Adore were done so beautifully that I just cannot discribe them except to say that if those versions were ever played at home there would be some babies made . The Twinz did thier thing and were great eye candy for the guys. I gotta give props to any woman that can dance in 4 in heels. Fellas these chicks are HOT. They sang 17 days but I swear that the mikes were turned down or off because I really couldn't hear them. This was the time that Prince went backstage and changed clothes. He came back out in a beautiful white suit with no shirt on underneath. Every now and then you would get a peek of his chest He was very playfull with the crowd, comming out to the edge of the stage to slap hands with folks. At 1 point he he walked out into the VIP area. I couldn't see who was there. The rest of the show is kinda a blur because I had almost been up for 24 hrs. The show ended at 2ish.

After the show DJ Rasheeda was spinning while the Rio people were cleaning up the floor for dancing. I saw Terry and Jerome outside of the place along with Mike Phillips. If I had my camera I would have asked to take a picture with them. I was too tired to stay and party but I did hit the tables. I made it back to my hotel at 5 just ast the sun was comming up. I was out cold as soon as my head hit the pillow.

The next day....

We went back to the Rio to catch the buffet but it wasn't open. I did get some pictures of the club and will post them soon. It was time to get back on the road. Hit the freeway at 3 and finally made it home at 3:30am. It took 12 hrs because of a couple of accidents and very bad fog.
