TrueRomance

11/17/Show

You cannot take a drink out and then return inside the club, i didnt see this sign but was upset when they wouldnt budge on this, i pleaded this was my first time in vegas, apologies, and nothing, fu!@3rs! I was on line and overheard a doorman tell a woman there's no bathroom inside the club (?). The only positive is the venue sound is great and great viewing from any spot, I was in the back and was able to take it all in then went down to the "pit" where I was able to party with everyone. To the blond I met out front of the club (why didnt you come back? and leave so early?) Drinks are a 10spot water will set you back 6. I really cant stand his "personal views". He needs to stop and just play music, who cares if he dont celebrate birthdays or Christmas! And he said something about not playin anything before 84. Wonder if its contractual? I was telling someone I wish he's the bad Prince and not the good Prince tonight. and i dont care for him changing his lyrics to be more "spiritual"...Another interesting note: Giant video screens that surround the club played all of his inspiration from a dancing standpoint anyway...clips of James Brown, 50's and 60's black and white video, early Soul Train and I couldnt believe a "Cantinfla's" movie clip where it looks like he borrowed ideas for the Kiss video as well as a lot of his mannerism's. I thought wow, Prince watched Cantifla movies...cool! Yeah and that good night thing is tired...

I just got a little less excited to see the 12/8 show neutral

the drink thing is not surprising.....i mean otherwise people would just go buy drinks in the casino for less or fill up their cups in their car.....and the walk from the club to the restrooms is not long.....just make sure to either have a friend hold your drink for you or finish it before you leave for the restrooms....it's no big deal unless you drink like a fish.....then you have some issues there

True, there's 2 restrooms within a very short distance, just opposite the front of the club, but gear to your right and the other on the left.

Opening night there were a lot of people leaving to go to the bathroom. You just work it out with the group to hold your spot. Just gotta go way before the show starts.

As far as the his "personal views" it's really not a big deal, but it depends on the person. The next day on line we were having a discussion about it and I like some people agree that it probably totals 2 minutes tops against a 2 hour setlist. It's just so minor to me.

I was there at the same show and agree with almost everything you say. The drink prices were OK, it's a Vegas bar, and the bartenders were crazy good. Also no line for drinks. Great stage and floor, though.

My big peeve, is that it "started" at 10:30, which was almost OK, because the DJ played good music, but everyone just stands there looking at the the curtain covering the stage. Prince came on at midnight, so that was a full hour and a half of nobody doing anything. That would be just fine if this was on a Monday, but this was my Friday night in Vegas, I don't wanna stand with a bunch of unfriendly people for that long. My advice to anyone going to these shows is show up at 11:55 pm.

The show itself was phenomenal. That band is tight! The version of 3121 was so funky I think I got a nosebleed. I've seen Prince play small shows at Paisley that were great, but it has been a while. He truly is a master of his craft. If only everyone worked half as hard at their jobs...
