How was the show this week-end? I know it's a bit early to talk about Saturday but let's make it a whole week-end concert thread and post your reports in here.

Hmmm...real strange how there are no reports yet. It's 8:30pm on the East Coast and 5:30pm in Las Vegas and no reports yet?? Oh well, I think Prince must have blown the roof off of Club 3121 last night like this--> and wore them out from such a good performance and now they are all like this --> and can't talk from the excitement, and everybody slept late, then had to rush back on line again for tonight's show....yeah.., I think that's what happened....yeah..I bet that's what it is . thaatttss's riiggghhhttt just keep us waiting for the details.. .well have fun tonight again people! I just came from reading Housequake, and there are no reviews there, either! Folks wondering what's going on. . .

I'm thinking the majority of folks bought tickets for both nights. I know for me last weekend I didn't have anytime to post reviews because as soon as I woke up Saturday morning I had to go place myself in line, and wouldn't have until Sunday to post a report.

Is it a big secret?..lol

That's true. I know most of the casinos have computer areas where you can use a computer.Last week some people had their laptops on line earlier in the day and went back to their hotel room to leave it before it was time to check ids and names.I know they really don't have time to be at a computer because of the lineup situation, but I actually thought at least one person would post, guess not, guess we have to wait until tomorrow. November 17th 3121 Review.
Posted on Http://www.thebumpsquad.com Got off the phone with some1 who attended and let them know you guys were starving for any type of review. Doors opened at 8. Less club people so was easier to get in but by the time he took the stage it was very crowded. DJ Rashida played different music, different clips were played as well. A LOT more Prince was played. Right around 12, he took the stage. He came out in a peach and orange colored suit with a black undershirt with match matching pumps and later come out in a black n white outfit that had 3121 written on the back and when he came out again, he had black pants with black shirt with a white design on it that looked really cool underneath the lights and he came out what looked like flip flop platforms. Could not see if you could see his toes cause his pant legs were so long. he had glitter on his sideburns and she thought he looked pretty and damn fine, as usual. He did go out into the crowd but not as far as Saturday. he took an audience members tambourine and asked if he could use it, they said yes. He played pretty much the same songs, heavy on guitar, and someone who looked like Kat Williams came on stage and did like push ups and played around, he asked him to rap but didn't. Prince more than made up for it with his vocals, singing in falsetto for all the slow songs. Mike Phillips came out and played sax and used the voice box. Same set list it sounds like but a few differences. He played 3121 but not all of it. The Chain, Come Together as covers. Around the World in a Day was played. He did Adore as well. Someone in the audience screamed to him that it was her birthday and he preached and said there is only two births that are celebrated and one of those is death, and I don't celebrate them and that is why I look so young. Jerome Benton was there and talking with the fans afterwards. Chris Rock also was there and had a good time. Let's go Crazy was played but no Fury or Purple Rain. A Goapelle poster stating she is playing this Wed was on the wall as you left, by the merchandise stand. Again, I was not there but tracked down some1 who was there 4 u all. j7 http://www.thebumpsquad.com [Edited 11/18/06 21:12pm] Silence Speaks A Thousand Words.

Went to the show on Fri.11/17 and had a great time, Prince delivered yet another stellar performace.Had GA tickets, and managed to snag a spot close to the stage around 9p.m.although we then had to hang out for three hours. Was to interested in the show to get a set list but remember him opening w/Spirituality. Prince had a guitar string break near the beginning of the show and kept going. He seemed to be in a good mood, always nice to see him crack a smile.Played Johnny Be Good and the Titan Up? song, very funky and energized. Crowd was sparse until about 10:30 p.m.but filled up quickly. Prince took stage @ about 12:15 and played until about 2:20. Three outfit changes. Closed show with Let's Go Crazy, performed this final encore w/the twinz. Brought one woman onstage to dance w/tamborine and he continued to play, eventually she tried to sneak off stage and he told her something like "Hey, I didn't say ya could leave! Get back here." Shhh and Pink Cashmere were a couple of my highlights, as well as Kiss and Cream. Definently worth a trip to Vegas to check it out, hoping to make it back in Jan. As a side note the staff seemed unaware of the dress code. I saw plenty of people in jeans and t shirts, someone even had flip flops on. Went out of my way to dress up, but glad I did it is nice to dress up every now and then. I would recommend wearing some comfortable shoes, high heels would make it a long night.
Also had dinner at 3121, it was very tasty but was suprised there wasn't some vegetarian items available.( Maybe he didn't have to much input into the menu items?)Great live music in the restaraunt included Mike Phillips. Get to Vegas and enjoy a show if you get the chance.

I just got home to Michigan, so I need a little time to recuperate before I can write my lil report (on Saturday's show). Needless to say, however, it was awesome!!!
I met some lovely peeps standing with me up by the front center stage area, I dunno if any of them are folks on here perchance? -Sarah-
