Because Fiore was closed yesterday, I had to go to the Rio to make reservations for the 3121 Jazz Cafe and found out some interesting stuff, sort of, I guess.

Prince will take the stage at 9:15 and play until 9:45/10:00. The 3121 Jazz Cafe is open tonight for an invitation only dinner before the show. There will be a purple carpet/step for photo opps with the Twinz, etc. Questions from the media will be for about 15 minutes.

The 3121 Boutique featuring Prince merchandise is now open as well. It was pretty much all the stuff that used to be for sale at the NPGMusicClub. I didn't see anything new. Rio t-shirts perhaps? I can't remember. I almost bought some incense. It smelled really good. Althought the clerks seemed a bit clueless as one of them remarked on how expensive the incense was. They had a pretty big flat screen monitor playing the Rave 2000 Live DVD. The place looked very clean and organized.

I believe clips from the show, etc. will be released either very late tonight or tomorrow via satellite.

On the funny side of things, I went to the Rio Starbucks and asked the clerk if she was excited about the show and she said something about some rules the hotel employees had to follow regarding Prince while he is in town. One of them was not being allowed to look him in the eyes if he ever passed by. Interesting huh? Another funny thing I read (while making reservations at the cafe) was that the official press release sent out to all the hotel employees came out on October 31 at 2100 hours! Get it? 31-21? Duh. Not sure if this is old news but I thought it was funny news.
