Ya know it's funny cause when I pulled up 3121.com and saw the animation, the first thought in my head was.."Prince is settin up in Vegas". Then I thought, damn. Of all the places in the world I'd like to see,Vegas is only a step above Iraq and Iran.

I didn't see Prince listed for October. I saw Tony Braxton. Is she now a regular over there?

Are JW's against gambling?

Why would he set up and promote a club that is linked to the gambling capital of the nation, in essence getting more people in?!

Yes, they are against gambling.
But they are also against singing and dancing in public (or maybe even at all), so he's not really a model JW to begin with.

So the great Prince will now just be a Vegas lounge act? Well, that sucks.

Haha, I'm not sure, all I know is what I read in MJ biographies. Apparently they're not even supposed to talk to people who aren't JW unless they're trying to convert them.
But I don't think that's really strict.

Hey. Nothing wrong with The Vegas Elvis. He only played Vegas two months out of every year.

Better to be put out to pasture then to be made into glue.
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.

This is perfect for Prince. He can create a show that encapsulates his appeal and artistic vision, whilst, essentially, giving the finger to the fans that have supported him throughout the "diffficult" times.

I cannot wait to get to see a Prince Vegas show. It will be awesome. It is such a shame, however, that this music pioneer is succumbing to the buck and the bang of a high profile engagement.

Prince playing Vegas? yawn

The Stones are still playing a world tour, and Prince, who is younger at 48 than Jagger was at 28 or Richards I suspect ever was, is relegating himself to old fart territory?

If he continues doing proper tours and playing for the fans that, ya know, gave a shit about him when everybody else was laughing at his skinny ass, then I guess it's cool. But if he doesn't? Meh.

Vegas'll be a money-maker, no question. But speaking as a fan the whole idea of our Brat playing in a lounge is so terribly depressing. Maybe I'm just bitter because I still haven't gotten a chance to see Prince live, I dunno. shrug

I saw it this morning there. Every time they post a scoop, they update it as it gets more precise.

I believe this site is blog that belongs to KingOfNYC /jer55cbs (@ hq.com). He takes the latest rumors from the various Prince fan website and Yahoo groups then blogs it. What's soooo annoying then he goes back HQ/Org/yahoo site and pimps this site like he found a new official source information.

hmm You really think he'll literally make that much?

I'm not getting worked up about this, we'll see if it happens at all.
