U know TheDetroitCrawl.Org will be there in full effect. Should be a funky good night. FREE gig, but $9 entry for the 7pm show with Morris E Day and THE TIME. Still a great price -- better than the $55-$75 price tag on tix at a recent TIME gig at the Fox Theatre.
Better yet, THE TIME are co-headlining the night at the state fairgrounds on Woodward Avenue, between 7 and 8 Mile, with Flyte Tyme alums SOS Band. The Crawl's motor babies got focused last Saturday (Aug. 26) at WWPD (What Would Prince Do) with the help of DJ Ben Beverly. He dusted off 777-9311. It was C-O-O-L ... to say the least ... on a humid and rainy night. See you all Thursday night. First time since August 2000 THE TIME's visited the state fair. [Edited 8/28/06 14:25pm]

We were scattered as usual, but we all knew where we were. Where were there, where were u? Still a groovy gig. Better than June 2005 with Sheila. sorry forgot to post the setlist here -- THE TIME SET LIST THURSDAY, AUGUST 31 MICHIGAN STATE FAIRGROUNDS Detroit, Michigan CLOCK TICKING DAT INTRO SKILLET COOL GET IT UP PANDEMONIUM CHOCOLATE WILD AND LOOSE MY STICK FISHNET OAK TREE JERKOUT 777-9311 OH, BABY (INSTRU) GIGOLOS GET LONELY TOO THE WALK THE BIRD JUNGLE LOVE Morris E Day and THE TIME took the stage about 8:30pm and did a whiplash and funky set, lasting about 55 minutes, right before 9:30pm. Flyte Tyme's SOS Band opened for THE TIME at 7pm. Concert tickets -- FREE. Entry into state fairgrounds -- $9 per person or lower (discounts); parking $5. Seems that Chance is back in the fold. Mr. Freakjuice featured prominently, as always, since he is from Motown. Good night for THE TIME -- better than June 2005. Seemed to change things up, but Skillet to start off the evening -- most of the people in attendance didn't know the joint, let alone Pandemonium. Sure they knew Chocolate and Jerkout, but not Skillet or Pandemonium. Crowd was into the band all evening long. Wanted more, but only an hour set.
