Prince bored with Purple Rain?, well I do!

Question?

Prince keeps yellin'on the One Nite Alone shows and this is a quote "If u came to hear Purple Rain, U better hit the door!" this is a line between spoken before he starts with Xenophobia. What interests me is that while saying this he played several times Purple Rain though on the shows.

Examples: (Houston, April 14th - New York, April 9th - Columbus, March 9th) What up with that, is he lost again??? Can't he remember what he says the same nites or is it me?

pm1	dude, i think the reason he does this is because he's doing mainly jazz/funk now and promoting the new album and he don't want people to think it's a greatest hits show and therefore get dissapointed.so when he does do the song , it's a bonus.

Purple Rain is there to put asses in seats. It's so people can walk out saying "All he had to do was play Purple Rain and I was good for the whole night" instead of "I PAID $125 TO HEAR THAT MUTHAFUKA PLAY JAZZ??? WHERE THE FUCK WAS PURPLE RAIN???"

Prince isn't stupid, ya know.

As someone who was @ the Columbus show on March 5, 2002, He did not play Purple Rain. I assure you the fans were disappointed but he was just here at a large arena in June of 2001. If you wanted hits go to a big show. The tour this spring was an oppertunity for you to hear his new influence. Any real Prince fan could appreciate that.
