Possible European Venues (All Countries)

I know there has been a couple of threads on this in the past. I'll dig them out in a minute. Now the tour is almost confirmed, what cities and venues would be suited for the ONA tour? Personally I would like Southampton Guildhall wink but I don't think that is going to happen!

I saw Mary J Blige this year at the N.E.C. Arena, Birmingham. The had sectioned off the whole back of the seating area (approximately half of the capcity) and the front half was full. I thought this was a good idea to provide a more intimate setting in a large arena. I don't think Wembley Arena does this though. The only other venue I've been too in London is Shepherd's Bush Empire and that has no seats. How about The Bournemouth BIC or Brighton Centre? Do they have decent acoustics? Do you think Prince would venture outside of London, and the other major cities?

the shepherds bush empire does have seats...there are at least three other levels above the ground floor PLUS! they can install seats on the ground floor for sit-down gigs.

Cheers milty. I knew about the other levels, I should have said I meant the ground floor. I didn't realise they installed seats sometimes.

If he has a promoter, he will be made to do Wembley Arena.

HMH, aftershow Paradiso. Or the accoustic tour could be done in Vredenburg. That would be great.

well if he plays London, It's gotta be one of the following really:

Brixton Academy (saw Jill scott there - amazing)
Shepherd's Bush Empire (Saw India Arie there - Amazing)
Hammersmith Apollo (large venue, but might work)
London Astoria (probably too small)
La Scala (probably too small)
Royal Albert Hall - yeah right, cause that'll happen

or

Wembley Arena, which i think is way too big, but ye never know

In London you have the following theatre style venues:

The Forum (Kentish Town) = 2000 capacity approx
I saw Wendy & Lisa there in 88 and 89

Shepherd Bush Empire = 2000 capacity approx
I saw Ani DeFranco there in 2002

Hammersmith Apollo = 3000 capacity approx
I saw Morris Day there in 88 and The Time there in 90

So it would be way cool to see Prince in a venue of this size (I really do not like Brixton Academy)

4 Paris the best place he can choose is Olympia, intimate, good sound quality n very prestigious.
But if he choose 2 be cool with Paris people he might choose Zenith which is taller!

Paradiso would be nice for an acoustic gig...
Ahoy would SUCK for a ONA show, since the acoustics there are just SHIT... Heineken Music Hall would be much better, more intimate too and more suitable for a "small" show like ONA...

Ok Heineken Music Hall it is. Much better, I live near and I don´t like going to rotterdam. So it´s an easy one.

For the Paris show, the Olympia would be great but to small ( 2000 seats ) .
If think it's likely that he'll choose the Zénith, like in 98 .
