maybe a collaboration with some ex-revolutionaries for a couple of songs and some one-off performances with wendy and/or lisa, but no reunion. pleeeeze. i have a feeling the guys in the band have moved on, and what remains is a kind of tentative renewal of prince's friendship with the girls...and that's fine, it is what it is. i just don't wanna see bobby z trying to squeeze into his old ruffles again. please don't encourage this possibility!!!

I have no idea if there will be a Revolution reuinion but if there was it would depend on the definition the "The Revolution"... I only see the possibility of a "reuinion" if "The Revolution" is considered Wendy & Lisa. I think seeing the whole Revolution as it was in 84-86 isn't nearly as probable.

Rhonda (She's great and can play anything. In recent years I think her "sound" has been a little weak, but I think that was Prince's preference, and it did fit with the ONA and Musicology band. But her playing has continued to be great.)

If a tour were to happen it would be something similar to the above list or the 3121/Tamar band.

I guess I wont stay in the kitchen making sure everyone is eating! Next year I will be sitting there watching the Superbowl ...well at least halftime!!

I respect jseven but I still think Prince headling or appearing at all in the Superbowl halftime show is very unlikely, for many reasons. For one, he'd have to sign a CONtract!


So is this a trend? Prince backs out of every new project/event if news about it leaks out?

Catalina Jazz Club 4 instance in 2004. A Nikka Costa duet per4mance. Didn't happen cuz of leaks. Not only on here but other places. There r some instances, like say AI, where u don't think he would show but does. He likes the element of suprise. In this day and age it is hard, but he did it with AI.

As 4 the Super Bowl, it is a pretty payday 4 that amount of work. I must say I am extremely disapointed how early it leaked. That will play in2 it. I mean NFL kickoff per4mers were just announced last week 4 the 1st game in early September. Finally, a kick-ass half time show without any nipples having 2 come out and play. Sigh.

Does he realize it can be extemely disappointing for fans if they miss something (a live show, a TV appearance) because there was no advance notice? Maybe he's banking on it showing up as a bootleg, on the HQ video forum, etc. soon enough!


Edit: This article explains the NFL only pays the performer's expenses, no appearance fee...I always assumed they got a fat fee too!
