I will be the first to admit that I have been very skeptical of Gray's info from his first thread about "The Real Reason Prince Has been Silent" http://www.prince.org/msg/7/191009 to this one about "The Tour." Obviously at this point it seems as though whomever spoke with Gray (Prince, Prince impersonator, whomever) told him things about a tour which do not seem to be true. (The verdict's still out on the other claims--see thread linked above). But damn, some of you all are ruthless! I can't believe I'm saying this, but cut the guy some slack. He probably realizes that something in the info he received isn't adding up--you don't have to crucify him by harping on it relentlessly. (Isn't there a "post a pic of Prince's booty thread" to hang out on?! )
It's been pointed out by several people (myself probably included) that Gray's info on the tour seems to be wrong. I agree with hokie1 if Gray is wrong, then we (the Org) will know to take any inside info he posts in the future with a grain of salt--his rep will be shot. So what's the point of continually bashing the guy?

Ok here's all I know. There is a tour schedule out that starts on September 2 and goes until December 2. The places include: western Europe, Middle East, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and South America (I may have missed a few places and I can't remember all the cities). | |

OK I've had word there will be a tour.
It will most likely be in the Northern Hemisphere, if not then it will be in the Southern Hemisphere. Apparently instruments will be played, and songs will be sung. I am new to the Prince scene however, so maybe some of you guys can answer this: Is Prince always this up in the air? Normally bands are pretty solid once they've come up with a touring schedule. I don't want to put out any names, but it came from someone that is hired by Prince to go on tour. So the info is not coming directly from Prince to me, but I have no reason not to trust the source. Apparently no one is really sure of any dates. They just know that there will be a tour and what cities they will be going to. | |

The most exciting thing 4 me in ur post was the mention of "The Middle East". Then again, where would he go? I mean imagine the two most viable destinations ordinarily would be Lebanon or Israel, and I can't see those beingon the line-up at the moment!
