Well i have been to TONS of these morning show concerts, but actually this is my first of the ABC ones, its always been the Today show ones for me. But i would suggest just from all those experiences, seeing everyone from JLO to Bon Jovi to Rick Springfield to PRINCE twice, once in 96, then in 98, back in 98 for Prince with Larry G i got there at about 2am and there were about 30 people already, but i was lucky because i knew how the band would set up so i was right by the side in front. The Soundchecks are the coolest thing, they usually start just as the sun is coming up around 5:30 or so, not sure if the ABC show does soundchecks too, but if u even wanna have a good spot get there at 2. I can be there at 2am! Anyone else in? We can bring tasty beverages in well concealed paper bags and play cards! It might be fun in a crazy only-in-New York type of way...
I'm completely serious by the way...any one else contemplating hanging out all night? The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

and what if I gotta pee? Hmm. I think the parks will be closed, but the sidewalks are fair game, right? Not sure about the restroom issue, though I'd think there would have to be someplace nearby that is open all night--it's New York, the city that never sleeps. The check. The string he dropped. They're 6 and 9...big Prince fans, and I'm really on the fence: on the one hand, this may be the only chance I'll get to take them to see him live (only being able to buy 2 member tix to regular concerts, never mind the cost of 3 tickets)...on the other hand, they probably won't be able to see a damn thing and I'll spend the whole concert in mama-bear mode if anyone bumps or pushes them... Yeah, I think they're going to have to sit this one out, for the safety issues alone. So on with the drinking and gambling! I watched the GMA concert this morning and got such a rush of excitement... I was lucky enough to have recently spoken with a very beautiful female marketing rep from Universal, who informed me that Prince will be doing one song, Tamar one song, and then they'll do one together.
But the real questions are: 1) Will he do more songs after the show goes off the air? 2) Will there be a real NYC show that weekend? (Maceo's in town, plays in Brooklyn on the 15th)

I don't know much about GMA Concert Series cause I don't watch TV in the mornings...but I am planning to go scope out Bryant Park to try to figure out where the best place to be is. And I am completely serious about going there at 2 or 3 in the morning to line up. I think there are going to be a lot of HQ and NPG members there too. I haven't heard anything about additional performances that weekend, but I'm definitely hoping... The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. Okay, so now the June 16: Prince featuring Tamar has disappeared from the GMA website!! http://abcnews.go.com/GMA...erConcert/ But now there is a section to submit a question to ask Prince. I'm so confused. I will be very sad if this performance is canceled. Especially since I couldn't go to Las Vegas. But at NPGMC, jseven says, "If there was a replacement 4 June 16th, then I would worry. June is going 2 be a fun month." In light of his recent AI related posts that makes me feel a bit better. PS. on the How much do you know about Prince quiz it says he is a high school drop out. Wasn't there just a thread about that and it was decided that he did graduate? The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. no...it's not a concert. It's a Good Morning America performance. The title of this thread is misleading. He'll prolly do 2 on air songs but I'm sure there's bound to be atleast a sound check and maybe a few more songs off air but...it's certainly NOT a concert. "not a fan" yeah...ok

I guess that means it's definitely on (as much as things can be definite with Prince) and that fancy poster sure makes it seem like the concert might be a lot more than 3-4 songs. The check.
